It is a small place, but the food is really good! Everything was fresh & tasty, with great portion sizes. The menu has a nice variety of Japanese dishes, & the service was friendly. It's a cozy spot in downtown Montreal worth checking out. Just keep in mind it can get busy, so there might be a bit of a wait time during rush hours.View more
5 out of 5 will eat again(what, I won't tell you) . On a serious note, I loved the place very cute & cozy. The food was delicious, I recommend the Japanese dry curry😉.View more
My all-time favorite Japanese restaurant in Montreal! This spot offers the most authentic Japanese cuisine you'll find, featuring dishes that are hard to come by elsewhere-like Hamburg Steak. The portions are generous, the prices are incredibly fair, & the drinks are even better than those at most bubble tea spots!View more
It is very good Asian restaurant, maybe the taste is localized Asian food, similar to Taiwanese. It is not authentic Japanese food. For Japanese visitors, I recommend Yakidon. If you prefer localized Canadian Japanese food, I recommend Toridon which so sweet sauce is on the chicken & rice. Very reasonable price. Amazing!View more
I got the pork cutlet with sweet & sour japanese sauce, with the curry on the side as per the waitresses recommendation as I couldn't decide. Definitely the best choice as I love the cutlet with just the S&S sauce alone. Now the cutlet was perfect, perfect crunch, perfect taste. & the fact that the place is small, makes the ambiance cozy & easier for the waitress to serve us. I loved itView more
Super homey traditional japanese dishes. Good prices.View more
Small & cozy space to enjoy very solid japanese staples. Had such a serene time on a wednesday evening chilling with friends in an intimate space. Don't get me wrong though, the place could be severely packed from the limited space, but as long as you pick a calmer time, it's great or they'll try to accomodate you as soon as possible anyway. Food was good, fairly pricy, but not as much as Mai Sri's next door if you're looking for the same quality, just not the same cuisine. Just quality comfy japanese experience. 02/10/2024 Got chicken katsu; 19.84$ with taxes & tips.View more
A great hole in the wall Asian restaurant serving Japanese style dishes. Food is tasty & price is reasonable. Service is friendly & quick. Highly recommended.View more
Good japanese food at a decent price! Ordered take out & got the curry katsu, katsu, & tawainese chicken nuggets. Both katsu dishes were good. The curry was on the runny side, I wished it was a bit thicker to coat the rice. The taiwanese chicken nuggets were also good, however, the portion size was small. Only half the container was filled, which was disappointing. Would go back to try the other rice donburis on the menu.View more
Great spot for Japanese curry & fried onigiri! We had the curry Tonkatsu & Yasai udon noodles, they were generous portions & delicious! The waiter was also warm & welcoming.View more
Best japanese restaurant I've been so far. Great, friendly service, amazing food & cozy atmosphere. I'll definitely recommend the Miso Cucumber, it was truly amazing. The Tonkatsu & Citrus Chicken are also very very delicious. Great Place!!View more
Cozy Japanese restaurant with some amazing dishes! I had the curry tonkatsu along with a miso soup, popcorn chicken, & a grapefruit oolong tea. It was all fantastic! Easily the best tonkatsu I've ever had!View more
Cheap Japanese eats. Very good & reasonably healthy IMHO. Small & cute, busy.View more
The chicken curry was really good! Really nice little Japanese place & the setting & decorations feel very authentic Japanese. The waitresses were lovely, super sweet & helpful. Will be back for sure! Edit : having returned, I HIGHLY recommend the chicken Torikatsu, it was so delicious & crispy.View more
Cozy & homey atmosphere with some great services. Pricing is fair & they make some really good Japanese food. Ironically run by chinese people, its one of my top food spots in Montreal.View more
Tastes just like the food I had in japanese last year, the bowls are delicious & the quality is impeccable. Would recommend if you want a taste of Japan in downtown Montreal :)View more
Wonderful shop that screams eclectic & unique. It might be tough to fit a group larger than six in here fyi. Asian fusion is how they describe themselves & it's true. The menu is a collection of Japanese comfort food made by Chinese chefs. I had the katsu curry & it was ok. The curry could have been thicker & used a little more flavor but it was a nice warm meal on a cold evening. I would definitely come back & sample some of the other menu items.View more
Great food, best Japanese restaurant in Montreal. Cozy place to eat with friends! Nice service, love it! Will come back later!View more
Stopped by this place for lunch & loved it. It has a nice intimate vibe with some nice decor. The menu is a nice little book with a lot of authentic Japanese menu items along with pictures. We got some gyoza, curry torikatsu & the regular torikatsu. The meat, rice, & vegetables blended so well together. I did prefer the meat of the regular torikatsu more than the curry one but it was close. It was also at a good price point. Highly recommend this place over a chain type fast food joint for lunch.View more
Cozy Japanese fusion restaurant, a hidden gem! 💛 Food was very good & service also. Always my go-to.View more
I was searching for a some good Japanese food & this place came up so i decided to give it a try, & i dont regret it at all! Theres quite a few options & they all look so yummy, i had the torikatsu & it was very filling. The place is quite small but the decor & atmosphere is very cute & comforting. Definitely coming back :)View more
Neat little Japanese inspired restaurant but ultimately I think there are better places around. I found the portions a bit small for the same prices as ganadara or jako nearby. The okonomiyaki was 95% cabbage, & the meat wasn't even pork belly, this one was super disappointing for me. I ordered the dry curry & my wife ordered the Katsu curry. Our dishes were above average, but again, nothing incredible either.
I'm glad I tried it & I hope these kinds of places keep popping up & start open.View more
The restaurant is very small. The service is beyond amazing. The waitress is very observant & efficient. The food also tastes good. I had the pork gyoza, Japanese dry curry, & the black tea panna cotta. The Panna cotta is nice with a hint of sweetness. The price point is also very good.View more
