Not authentic. Curry is water down & lacks of favour. The katsu's batter is all wet & not cripsy, they falls straight off the pork... Seems like they just pan fried it instead of traditional way deep fried. don't recommend.View more
Chashu don: perfectly balanced bowl of tender meat, juicy egg, & crispy vegetables. Simple, but sometimes that's all you need! Curry katsu: curry was alright. Not much to say but the rest was great!View more
My favourite restaurant ever homey vibes nd their curry chicken is my favourite plate I ordered it at least 5 times so far & now with holidays I am craving it even more cant wait until they open again to get again ❤️View more
I got the pork cutlet with sweet & sour japanese sauce, with the curry on the side as per the waitresses recommendation as I couldn't decide. Definitely the best choice as I love the cutlet with just the S&S sauce alone. Now the cutlet was perfect, perfect crunch, perfect taste. & the fact that the place is small, makes the ambiance cozy & easier for the waitress to serve us. I loved itView more
I've tried katsus at several restaurants, & this one is really bland. It's crispy with a large amount of rice & a nice portion of vegetables, but it really needs salt as an optional add-on, especially for the curry sauce & the bland beef. The atmosphere is cozy & nice, despite the heavy smell of fumes.View more
The pork belly (chashu don) was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend it. The pancake is top notch. Tonkatsu curry was good but the curry flavourless. The Katsu itself was awesomeView more
Very delicious food- we got the gyoza, curry tonkatsu, classic katsu & both miso & udon noodle soup. All was amazing. Super cute hole in the wall place. We would definitely return if back in the area.View more
Good japanese food at a decent price! Ordered take out & got the curry katsu, katsu, & tawainese chicken nuggets. Both katsu dishes were good. The curry was on the runny side, I wished it was a bit thicker to coat the rice. The taiwanese chicken nuggets were also good, however, the portion size was small. Only half the container was filled, which was disappointing. Would go back to try the other rice donburis on the menu.View more
Great spot for Japanese curry & fried onigiri! We had the curry Tonkatsu & Yasai udon noodles, they were generous portions & delicious! The waiter was also warm & welcoming.View more
Great place! I would definitely recommend the curry torikatsu & yam fries. Very tasty, good portions, & felt fresh. Loved that the menu included photos. Nice atmosphere & the service was great. Would come again !!View more
Cozy Japanese restaurant with some amazing dishes! I had the curry tonkatsu along with a miso soup, popcorn chicken, & a grapefruit oolong tea. It was all fantastic! Easily the best tonkatsu I've ever had!View more
Cozy place that serves wonderful & affordable rice bowls. Reminds me of Japan & would highly recommend the steak bowl along with the curry katsu.View more
Excellent service: The dry beef curry, popcorn chicken & the sweet potato fries were amazing as well as their pudding dessertView more
Came around a month ago, the lady serving us was lovely & kind. Nice ambience to the store, & nice variety of food. The curry could've been better.View more

This is my favorite store in Montreal! Beverages are even better than milk tea shops! Highly recommend curry tonkatsu! The store manager & employees are so nice! A store worth visiting! 10/10 lovely restaurantView more
The chicken curry was really good! Really nice little Japanese place & the setting & decorations feel very authentic Japanese. The waitresses were lovely, super sweet & helpful. Will be back for sure! Edit : having returned, I HIGHLY recommend the chicken Torikatsu, it was so delicious & crispy.View more
Wonderful shop that screams eclectic & unique. It might be tough to fit a group larger than six in here fyi. Asian fusion is how they describe themselves & it's true. The menu is a collection of Japanese comfort food made by Chinese chefs. I had the katsu curry & it was ok. The curry could have been thicker & used a little more flavor but it was a nice warm meal on a cold evening. I would definitely come back & sample some of the other menu items.View more
Amazing Chicken Curry Katsu + Sweet Potato fries w/ prune seasoningView more
Food has nothing special. The tomyum was very blend, but the wakame was a good idea. The curry tonkustu was fine. The curry was good but the fried chicken wasn't crispy. Toilet has a rat trap. Great service by waitress. Seating has no back support on the wall sideView more
Stopped by this place for lunch & loved it. It has a nice intimate vibe with some nice decor. The menu is a nice little book with a lot of authentic Japanese menu items along with pictures. We got some gyoza, curry torikatsu & the regular torikatsu. The meat, rice, & vegetables blended so well together. I did prefer the meat of the regular torikatsu more than the curry one but it was close. It was also at a good price point. Highly recommend this place over a chain type fast food joint for lunch.View more
Neat little Japanese inspired restaurant but ultimately I think there are better places around. I found the portions a bit small for the same prices as ganadara or jako nearby. The okonomiyaki was 95% cabbage, & the meat wasn't even pork belly, this one was super disappointing for me. I ordered the dry curry & my wife ordered the Katsu curry. Our dishes were above average, but again, nothing incredible either.
I'm glad I tried it & I hope these kinds of places keep popping up & start open.View more
The restaurant is very small. The service is beyond amazing. The waitress is very observant & efficient. The food also tastes good. I had the pork gyoza, Japanese dry curry, & the black tea panna cotta. The Panna cotta is nice with a hint of sweetness. The price point is also very good.View more
