Overall this is just a great place to the staff are friendly, fun & the burgers are excellent. The portions are plentiful & the patio is beautiful.
It's a bit expensive for pub food but it won't stop me from going back.
They have a little store attached that you can buy you beer at too attached which is cool.
Dieu du ciel turned out to be one of those places you'd find where you least expect it: a nice little oasis tucked away somewhere in the middle of St Jerome. Beautiful decor & spacious interior seating area, as well as a large terrace. The beers are excellent to quench your thirst & the nacho appetizer was generous enough to qualify as lunch! The rest of the menu looked very inviting but I came for their IPAs & I was not disappointed. Parking is free across the street, but only on the weekends.
We went there with the team that I work with for after-hours beers & snacks. The place has a trendy & smooth decor, with comfortable, as opposed to tightly packed, tables/seating.
The service was professional & friendly. Their beers are home-brewed, & it's a locally recognized brand, one that can be found in grocery stores all around. There's a vast selection of beer kinds, which I did not try comprehensively because I needed to be able to walk, but their IPAs are very nice indeed.
The food menu is more than just pub grub, & I think just about anyone will find something there. This helps when it comes to bringing larger groups with various tastes & constraints.
I will definitely go back.
We've been going to Dieu du Ciel for a long time, but over the past year, they've been making it VERY difficult for people who don't eat meat or chicken. Before, I would order the wonderful fish tacos, then they were suddenly removed from the menu with no explanation. The fish & chips--a mainstay for any pub!--were also removed. Then they stopped serving sweet potato tacos. So we started ordering the delicious soups of the day--usually vegetarian & always good. The last time we dined at DDC, there was no longer soup of the day, & when we asked why that, & the delicious sweet potato tacos had disappeared, the server apologized & said she honestly didn't know why. We will go one more time, tonight, & hope for the best, but I'm worried our once-beloved St. Jerome pub with wonderful beers will not offer anything beyond the veggie burger & frites (excellent, but it's the only thing left I can eat, & it's sometimes too heavy for me). Bring back fish tacos, sweet potato tacos, & plant-based soups!
Best place to have a bite & a drink with family & friends in the Laurentians. They really nailed down the perfect triangle of food/service/atmosphere. The (new) place is gorgeous, super inviting, inside & outside, the service is absolutely out of this world (been going there for over 8 years & still have never experienced anything else than warm welcome, stellar service, super efficient), the food is bistronomy at its best (price increased in the past 3 years, but it was shamefully low price to start with, so it is fair play for the quality), & the beer is their dna (huge selection, brewery is just behind the pub for both St Jérome & Montreal venues). A gem.
Nice place to end a busy day at work while completing last emails. Good food
Good beer
Watch out for private parking in front of the pub. Must pay in public parking just past private one. Easy walking to pub cutting across
Good ambience, relaxed staff, & great beer!
A good selection of food (entries & main courses)
This is a top shelf resto/pub. Service is friendly, quick & patient. Food is tasty & served without delay even though it was very busy a Friday night at 1800. The selection of beers is excellent. I would highly recommend a visit.
Visited on October 2, 2021, in the afternoon. Just like the old Rue de Villemure pub, it was the day after their opening. Located one block east of the brewery, it's in a former garage in front of a public parking lot. No street parking, but there is a lot of space in front & around. From the outside, you would not know it was a garage until you see some signs of what it was. Elements of wrought iron, polish wood & concrete. The patio, which is more than double the size of the previus on, is between the pub & the brewery. The inside is much different, unlike the old one where it is a larger version of the Montreal brewpub, this one is much more modern. Lots of windows that give it more light, a combination of regular & high tables, the bar however is far more classic look. They have up the 30 taps, almost all available in bottles & cans, but a few tap only like Nanatsu No Taizai, a coffee black strong lager brewed with Godspeed for Péché Day 2018. The food menu is the same, wich is more varied than in Montreal. One thing this place has that the other did not & it's a separate boutique to buy beer & merchandise. This is a much improved pub in all!
Close to every transportation. We stopped our bicycle ride to try some beers there. We love trying new places. We weren't disapointed ! They even had a place to put our bikes out back, so we could keep an eye on them. Personnel is very friendly. Ambiance on the Terrasse was very nice & cosy (altought the tables could use some love). But overall : diversity of product, originality, sizes, beer quality, price & atmosphere are all wins. We'll definitly stop again when we're in the area.
Amazing place. Beer is for sure amazing. Lot of variety. Love the seasonal sour beers & dent de requin.. petite morale. rosee dibiscus. well a lot to enjoy !! quite pricey but worthed. for the food. i would give them average... smash burger was dry & not as a good burger should be. Poutine ... well the sauce was extremely salty with a burnt taste. Fries were just average. This was my second time.. & will definitely go back with friends.
Super friendly staff. Beautiful interior. Fantastic beers & great selection. Bilingual as well
Really liked the place; friendly welcoming, warm atmosphere & beautiful terrace. Their beers are great (liked the Immorale) & really like the Smash Burger. Many more beers to taste!
Great beer selection. About 30. Excellent high quality healthy food options (beyond'pub food'). Highly recommended.
Fantastic place. To bad I probably won't be ever able to try the rest of their beers.
If you liked the old place, you're going to love the new, improved, DDC. Never been? You'll like it too. Is it the best beer? No. But it's more than decent. Not so adventurous vs other places but still has a selection that should please most. Food selection does not reinvent the wheel but I enjoyed many plates. Good to mention that every deep fried dish I tried was real good, not greasy. The decor was improved during the last renovation & it's quite beautiful. Love the terrace during summer. Service is speedy & polite. If you are in St-Jerome or the immediate area, I recommend.
great beer selection in a relaxed & inviting atmosphere. service is fast & professional. food was innovative & delicious. strongly recommend this establishment if you are a beer lover.
