Modern, beautifully designed Persian restaurant with tall ceilings & great service. The Torsh kebab is the best in Montreal, hands down. A great touch is that the rice is served individually with TahDig (crispy rice). The Barg & Kubideh were also very good. The freshly baked Iranian Taftoon bread that is served with cheese, walnuts & herbs is another huge plus.
Overall, a stylish spot with authentic flavors & a great dining experience.
A beautiful place, excellent rice, & fresh bread, & perfect welcoming , but the koobideh can be better
Also, the chairs is a little bit uncomfortable
Hi I went today , the restaurant decoration is nice cozy I do appreciate but I don't like the kebab personally because it taste too much like lamb I am not used to this taste I wished they had not with lamb taste because I am born in Canada not born in Iran I am not used to this taste . But I know majority of iranien don't mind of it & actually love it . Also, the chicken with bone was delicious I love it & recommend & the bread with the cream cheese was good .
I remove points because no soupe or salade like other irannien restaurant that in included you had to pay for it , & the tea usually is free the was no price for the tea in the menu 3$ is alot . Also , the server should let us know in advance if we take another bread it will charge us in advance we should have let know .
But overall it can get better there is potential…
We celebrated my & my mom's birthday at Diba restaurant. Their service was Excelent ! & they were all very polite & personable , Ms. Somayeh took care of our table & she was amazing !
From house bread , kashkeh bademjoon & moosir to all the kabobs were tastful 👍🏼🥂
One of the good Persian restaurants in Montreal I like their food the barg kebab & the Kubide kebab were delicious. Also Zeytoon parvarde was tasting amazing. I loved the fact that they served us with a fresh bread & some cheese & herbs & walnuts as welcome. I remember I ordered once by Uber eats from here I ordered Ghorme sabzi with Kubide & chiken kebab. The meat inside the Ghorme sabzi was less than a normal portion, & the chicken kebab seems not to be very well cooked, but it was juicy & well marinated, but just the Kubideh kebab was good. Overall, I like this place but I hope this small mistakes wouldn't happen again because it's a nice place with delicious food.
The food is good, except for the shishlik! I don't eat rice, & there was no option to choose between rice & salad. For the starter, I would have preferred soup instead of cheese & bread. It's just a suggestion, everything else was good!
The food was excellent! Both the kebab Torsh & the Soltani were perfectly cooked & full of flavor. The rice, tahdig, & bread were all fresh & delicious. Overall, a great dining experience. highly recommended!

If you like oil-drenched Iranian food, a dolled up server who doesn't smile, & a cold cup of tea at the price of 3$ per cup, then try this.
The food tastes good, & the fresh bread is nice. It's a BYOB restaurant. It's a good place to go with a large group.
Unlike other Persian restaurants, soup, salad & tea were not complimentary, so I was put off by that & by how greasy everything was.
Diba Restaurant is hands down one of the best spots in Montreal for authentic Persian food. From the moment you sit down, they treat you right: starting with warm, freshly baked bread served with cheese & walnuts. It's such a simple touch, but it really makes you feel at home.
The dishes here are full of flavor & prepared with real care. The rice is perfect, & it comes with tahdeeg: the crispy, golden crust that every Persian food lover dreams of. & the kebabs? Honestly, they're the best I've had in Montreal. Juicy, tender, & grilled just right.
The vibe is cozy & welcoming, & the staff make sure you're well taken care of without being overbearing. If you're craving Persian food or want to try it for the first time, Diba is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Everything was very OKAY. Had Torsh, Koobideh, & Vaziri. The best one was Torsh. Koobideh was not good at all. & the chicken in Vaziri was mediocre. Not sure why but I have yet to find a restaurant in Montreal that has good Koobideh, & this was no exception. The rice was also good but it was too oily. The bread they served before the food came, though, was excellent!
Delicious food & very friendly service. One highlight is their freshly baked Taftoon bread, which is a big plus. However, it's not vegetarian- or pescatarian-friendly, as there are no vegetarian dishes & no seafood options. I'm pescatarian, so I could only have plain Baghali Polo without meat & Kashk-e Bademjan, but they were delicious. My friends, visiting for the first time, really enjoyed the experience. Special thanks to the lovely Arezou for her warm & kind service.
I ordered through UberEats & this has hands-down been the best Persian meal I've had in Montreal so far. The saffron chicken wings were incredibly flavorful juicy, tender, & perfectly seasoned. The koobideh was just as amazing, rich with flavor & cooked to perfection. The housemade bread hit the spot, fresh, soft, & the perfect complement to the meal. On top of that, the packaging was perfect; everything arrived fresh, intact, & beautifully presented. You can really taste (& see) the care & authenticity in every detail. Will definitely be ordering again-& visiting in person soon!
Diba Restaurant, with its high ceilings, warm interior decor, & use of neutral tones, creates an incredibly calm & inviting atmosphere for its guests. The young & well-trained staff move gracefully between tables like a synchronized dance team. Their attentiveness is almost mind-reading, as they approach your table before you even signal for them.
Dear Mehrsa is an exceptional host, extremely nice, very friendly, respectful, polite, & hardworking. She ensured that every aspect of our dining experience met our expectations with enthusiasm & care. For quite some time now, she has happened to be our host by chance, & each time, she has provided us with the best service with great care & grace.
Our host tonight was Dear Ghazal, who was exceptionally so nice, courteous, & resourceful. When we ordered the Chenjeh kebab & were informed it was unavailable, she quickly coordinated with the kitchen upon noticing our excitement & managed to fulfill our request.
Before diving into the details of the food, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dear Ghazal for her wonderful hospitality this evening.
I'll include the receipt so you can see the exact prices as of today. Please note that the Chenjeh kebab was served with rice, while the other kebabs were served without.
• Bonab Kebab: Exceptionally tender & flavorful. I can confidently say it's one of the most delicious kebabs you'll find in Montreal.
• Chenjeh Kebab: The flavor was delightful.
• Shishlik Kebab: It was unbelievably tender a so really delicious.
• Koobideh Kebab: Compared to Bonab kebab, I'd definitely choose Bonab. But I have to say, Diba's koobideh kebab has a really enjoyable flavor on its own.
One standout feature of Diba Restaurant is their in-house bread baking. This sets the restaurant apart, giving it a unique charm. A touch of melted butter is added to their fresh taftoon bread, making it taste like a slice of heaven.
Overall, I would recommend it specifically for Bonab kebab.
Bon appétit!
I really enjoyed the main dishes. Fresh bread was amazing. The price was very good relative to portion size . Very nice atmosphere & very nice staff.I hope they continue their great work.
My go-to for Persian food; by far the best service; high quality food & very nice atmosphere with high ceilings.
The staff is very friendly & accommodating.
I had Iranian & non-Iranian guests here, & everyone was very happy!
The cherry on the cake? it is freshly baked bread!
Nice people , kind & polite service people, clean & welcoming environment & most importantly a reasonable price. You may have some issues with finding a parking space.
Definitely recommended.
I always say , check Persian Cuisine & its very difficult to get disappointed.
Here are some details about the food :).
Starter, Bread & Cheese : 3.5 Stars.
Bread was awesome & fresh so this part is a good 4.5 Stars.
I would give it more stars if there was a bit of Salted Butter & better mix of herbs instead of just Parsley.
You will also get some walnuts although I would take some time to make them look fresh by soaking them in water the nigh before.
Rice : 4.5 Stars.
Big portion, delicious & well cooked with a nice Tahdig & Saffron.
Kebab Barg : 4 Stars with some compromise
Tender, well prepared & cooked. The only missing part is the preparation over charcoal.
Kebab Koobideh: 3.5 Stars.
Nice big portion but grinded more than what it should have been grinded. Maybe they can stick to only 2 times grinding instead of 3 or 4.
I was not able to recognize the taste of lamb as it should be mix of lamb & beef chuck.
I would add 1 to 2 percent more salt & I would definitely avoid grinding the onion with beef & lamb.
& for sure charcoal. BBQ was missing.
Joojeh Kebab ( Chicken breast ) : 3.5 Stars.
I would say acceptable but could have been marinated a bit better. Pieces were too thin so it dries out over the heat before it gets to proper internal safe temperature.
Ghormeh Sabzi : Hardy & with a lot of compromise 2 maybe 1.5 Star.
Definitely not recommended .
Good large portion but not right mix of herbs. Fenugreek was missing. Herbs were not fried properly & the sourness of Limo Amani ( dried Lemon ) was definitely missing.
The best I have ever had in Canada was in the city of Sherbrook. So you will not missing anything if you skip the stew part.
Salad Shirazi : 4.5 Stars .
Very delicious, well prepared.
Most importantly & rightly they use juice of unripe grape (This part is great).
I would give it a good 5 star if the portion was bigger. For that price , it should be at least 2 times bigger.
Tea: 5 Stars.
It was so good that I cannot give it a 4.5 because of the glass size :) . I would like my glass of tea a good 1.5 to 2 times bigger than that , I mean I like a real regular size glass.
Please note that what I am writing here is based on my standards & compared to real top notch Persian food. So a 3.5 out of 5 stars considering expertise & ingredients you get here in Montreal is still good.
Best welcome food ever!
They make their own fresh bread & serve it with a delicious cheese. Kashkebademjun was perfect!!! I mean Perfect!!!! & I loved those NoonKhamei as a dessert.
Thanks for all your service
One of the best Persian restaurants in town-no exaggeration. Not only is the food outstanding, but the ambiance & décor are equally extraordinary.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with freshly baked homemade bread & cheese, served in true Persian style. It tasted like heaven.
For our appetizer, we ordered kashk-e bademjan, which was incredibly fresh, with every ingredient clearly made from scratch. For the main course, we tried kebab torsh, served with crispy tahdig & authentic Persian rice. The flavors were rich, & the portion was generous.
The staff was exceptionally kind & attentive, making the experience even better. If you're looking for a truly authentic Persian dining experience, this place is a must-visit!
This Persian restaurant was an absolute gem! After we placed our order, they brought out freshly baked bread with walnuts, cheese, & herbs-a delightful complimentary touch that set the tone for the meal. 😋🍞👍
The food itself was outstanding. Every rice dish came with a beautifully crisp Tadig, with lavash Tadig in the center & rice Tadig surrounding it-a perfect combination of textures that made every bite incredibly satisfying. 🍚🤤🌟
The kebabs were top-notch, made with high-quality meat & expertly grilled. The Bonab Kebab, made from ground mutton, was exceptional-juicy, flavorful, & perfectly charred. The Kubideh was rich & tender, while the Kebab Tursh had a delicious tangy marinade that elevated its taste even more. 🔥🍖💯
Beyond the food, the restaurant had a warm & inviting ambiance, & the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, ensuring a great dining experience. If you're a fan of Persian cuisine or just love well-crafted food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended! ✨👏😊
Bread, Kashke bademjun & zeytun parvarde taste was ok, dough was not what it should be, it would have been nice if they had more vegetarian options like ash reshte or barley soup & etc.
