I see why this restaurant has such great reviews. I had the beef ribs, Simply delicious. So tender & with that perfect smoked flavor. I also ordered the smoked brunt ends. Again, so tender & delicious. I couldn't eat all of it so tomorrow night's dinner is ready. Some of the very best bbq around.
It was my 2nd time eating here. The chicken was cooked to perfection both times. I love their BBQ sauce,it is the perfect balance between sticky sweet & smoky deliciousness. Great ambiance, maybe the music is a bit loud at times,but I didn't mind because they were playing some great tunes, classic rock mixed with newer music. Good times for sure :)

Phil is an absolute rockstar! Hands down best & quickest service at a classic bbq restaurant in Montreal. Not to mention ton how great every item was on the big sharing platter. I would recommend this restaurant & every dish to anyone who likes this style of food. 200/10 rating
NOURRITURE Je suis venu un mardi pour leur spécial d'ailes de poulet À VOLONTÉ pour 14,99$ !! Les ailes étaient quand même bonnes, mes sauces préférées étaient BBQ & Kansas! J'aime beaucoup leur genre de frites; bien grosses & juteuses. Portion d'ailes était généreuse, 6 ailes par portion. SERVICE On a été servi assez rapidement & malgré l'achalandage, on a reçu nos plats assez vite aussi. Alexia, notre serveuse, était vraiment sympathique! Très bon service de sa part! On était un groupe de 8 & on était tous satisfaits du service & de l'expérience ! COCKTAIL J'ai pris un long island iced tea double, il n'était pas assez fort à mon goût. C'est un 3,2/5 à mon avis. Je n'ai pas essayé autre chose. AMBIANCE Le resto parait bien. Ambiance rustique. Il y a de l'espace pour du monde! Musique des 2000s donc j'étais satisfait :) OVERALL Bonne expérience en général! Je pourrais y retourner pour essayer autre chose sur leur menu pour avoir une meilleure idée de la qualité de leurs autres plats. Je crois que ça vaut la peine d'essayer!

It's an okay place! Not amazing/mind-blowing BBQ, but its eatable. The pulled pork tasted find but was quite dry. Same complaint for the brisket from my friend. Fries were good but lacked a bit of salt. You'd expect to be served fries with a nice little sauce or some mayo but that didn't come with the plate (I don't know if you can request it). Coleslaw was plain. Service was nice & attentive though! I don't have any complaint about our waitress who was lovely.
I ordered takeout & is was meh. Now to give context I'm a long haul truck driver & spend most my time in the US & eaten lots of southern BBQ from small places on the side of a road. This place is not bad but a far cry from what you get south of the border. I was disappointed with the brisket & beef ribs. The portions were small & the meat dry. Mac's cheese was respectable & the corn bread was also on point. I would give it a try again a little earlier in the day maybe I caught them on a bad day or running at the end of what they had left.

The food was amazing, some of the best BBQ ribs I've had in a long time. I was alone in the city, so I decided to sit at the bar & the bartenders were very attentive & spoke perfect English or French. Cajun fries & fried broccoli were delicious. I really loved everything about this place, the only reason I knocked off a star was the cost of the high balls. The cost of the shot was about $7-9 which is fair, but then they hit you with another $9 "soda add-on" charge for each highball. I really wasn't expecting to pay almost $20 per drink but that's on me for not checking first.
Nous étions un groupe de 5. J'ai commandé une côte de boeuf « dinosaure » & ils m'ont servi deux côtes de boeuf normales, sans m'informer. Quantité viande, même chose; mais pas la même expérience. Les côtes étaient correctes, sans plus. Les brocolis « frits » étaient vraiment trop salés. Le poulet des personnes qui m'accompagnaient était sec. La sauce BBQ n'est pas top. J'ai goûté au brisket & il était bon. J'ai voulu commander des haricots verts (sur le menu), mais apparemment il n'en avait pas. J'ai demandé un format entrée de la salade, mais ils ne font pas ça. Bref, pas de « green » dans ce restaurant. Le service était courtois & adéquat. Bref, je n'y retournerai pas & je ne le recommande pas.

Quite a buzz around the'All you can eat chicken wings' advertised on their website front & center. So I took them up on it - made a reservation in advance (which is recommend) to experience it for myself. Note that you've to order a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) to avail the all you can eat wings. If you're in a group, a pitcher of beer that you share, will be counted as your drink. The first of wings plate comes with fries & the subsequent sets do not. We received 6-7 wings & a customary drumstick with each plate we ordered along with your choice of sauce. Sauces range from BBQ, Jalapeno, Ranch, Blue Cheese, Demon (Frank's hot sauce) & Sweet & Sour. Our server, Nick, was very helpful & kind. Since it was a Tuesday evening, there were multiple tables with the wings orders but we still received our subsequent orders in a timely manner. The cream ale I tried was good (nothing to ride home about) but the wings along with the beer made it a great combination! Would recommend this offer to anyone who likes chicken wings & thinks they can make the most out of the deal. It was a pleasant experience, overall! PS the decor of the restaurant is a vibe.
I saw the reviews & pics & told myself I need to go there & try some bbq. Unfortunately, they served up some meat that has been sitting for a long time. Brisket, chicken, ribs were all dry & the bbq sauce wasn't enough to revive the bite. It's not easy running a bbq place where the food needs to be always hot, fresh, & juicy. Long cook times don't make this easy to do, & you're cooking at least a day or two in advance. Recommend going on the weekend vs a weekday when the food is likely fresh off the grill. Great service & atmosphere. Nice beer as well.
Diablos was a great experience & I would recommend. Away from touristy Crescent street. I sat at the bar as I was travelling alone. I would call this upscale casual atmosphere, trendy BBQ! Varied bar menu with cocktails & beer. Good BBQ menu with meat as the focus. The Brisket was great & the sauce was made in house & is something I have to mention. It was rich, smoky, sweet, & so addictive that I could drink it. I dream about it. I'm planing to return as many times as I can. I was also luck to meet the owner who was friendly & approachable & even gave me a small sample of the ribs which were fall off the bone delicious.

Our server, Nick, went above & beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. His attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, & friendly demeanor truly enhanced our meal. The food itself was outstanding, with each dish bursting with flavor & cooked to perfection. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy & inviting, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Without a doubt, Diablo's BBQ Smokehouse, along with the outstanding service provided by Nick, deserves a five-star rating. We look forward to returning soon for another memorable dining experience.
