Délices de Lala is a true little pearl tucked inside the beautifully renovated Lachine public library. It's more than just a café - it's a cozy, welcoming space filled with the authentic flavours of Brazil. Whether you're grabbing a coffee, indulging in traditional sweets, or enjoying one of their delicious savory snacks, everything is made fresh & with care.

The owner is incredibly hard-working, always smiling, & offers exceptional service that makes you feel right at home. The recipes are reliable & true to Brazilian tradition - from pao de queijo to brigadeiros & refreshing drinks you won't find anywhere else in town.

There are also some great lunch options & even frozen dishes you can take home, which is perfect for busy days when you still want a home-style meal.

Strongly recommend stopping by if you're in the area - a warm coffee, a good book, & a taste of Brazil make for a perfect break.View more

I was visiting my Dad & he needed a new library card, so off we went to the Saul Bellow branch. I haven't been to the library since it was in the old firehouse on 45th, so I was very impressed with this location. We got Dad's card sorted (staff were fantastic, esp Pierre!) & took a look at the cafe on the way out. What an amazing selection of sandwiches & treats! Everything looked very fresh & delicious & the owner, Renata, was so friendly & helpful. Dad & I each got a sandwich & a treat to bring home for lunch. The food was fantastic, tasted even better than it looked. If you're in the area & looking for a light lunch, I highly recommend Delices de Lala. You'll be glad you went.View more

I've been coming to this nice cafe since it opened & I have nothing but good things to say about it! 😊 The food is tasty, the service is wonderful & the owner is very kind. She has a nice selection of baked goods of both the sweet & savoury variety, along with a soup & a salad of the day & a couple of sandwiches. Having sampled just about all the menu, my personal favourites include the beef empanadas, the lemon bites, the natas & the ham & cheese sandwich. All of that isn't even mentioning the drinks, which are also good. Of those I particularly recommend the hot chocolate! So come to the library & give it a try! You can borrow a book/movie while you're at it. You won't regret it!😁View more
