Del Friscos provides a specialized menu focused on hearth-baked pizzas and traditional Italian staples. The kitchen prepares artisanal sandwiches using crusty bread and locally sourced ingredients to ensure consistent flavor profiles. Guests encounter a straightforward environment designed for efficient service and high-quality comfort food preparations. Every dough recipe utilizes fermentation techniques to achieve a light, airy texture that complements classic savory toppings. The menu emphasizes traditional sauce recipes and high-quality cheeses melted to order in stone-deck ovens. This focus on fundamental culinary techniques results in a reliable selection of rustic dishes tailored for those seeking authentic textures and robust flavors. The establishment maintains a standard of quality centered on the preparation of hand-stretched pizza crusts and carefully assembled meat-based sandwiches that prioritize ingredient freshness above all else.
Del Friscos is widely regarded as a solid dining destination in the West Island, frequently praised for its generous portions, high quality of food, and inviting atmosphere. Many patrons highlight the exceptional service provided by the staff, noting their professionalism, friendliness, and dedication to ensuring a positive experience for both small parties and large community gatherings. While the wood fired pizza, pasta, and various meat dishes are consistent favorites, a few visitors have pointed out occasional inconsistencies in meal preparation or service speed during busier times. Despite these isolated reports, the restaurant remains a popular go to for families and friends, thanks to its reasonable pricing, diverse menu options including plant based choices, and comfortable, attractive setting.
Good pizza about 20$ with no drinks. Other choices available (pastas, meats, etc), typically you will spend between 20-40$ for your meal.
Service was great, no pressure to leave as we were catching up with friends.
I would come back here again.
Stopped in for lunch on our way out of Montreal on a Saturday with a party of five (4 adults, 1 child).
There was no one at the front when we first walked in, but we were acknowledged shortly after & seated promptly. We were seated at a white cloth tablecloth table, which gave a nice home-style feel, though I did question consistency since not all tables had them.
I did have to ask for a kids' menu for my 8-year-old, which felt like a small detail that could have been anticipated.
Service overall was strong. Our waitress was attentive, especially with drink refills, & maintained good energy throughout.
We ordered a good variety: chipotle mango chicken, Jack Daniel's chicken, short ribs, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, penne with meatballs, a fettuccine Alfredo kids' meal, plus the soup of the day options - minestrone & potato.
The minestrone was very good. The potato soup was okay but a little underwhelming. Portion sizes were generous across the board, including the kids' meal.
The short ribs weren't what we expected - more of a roast-style preparation without a bone. While it was mentioned they weren't classic ribs, a clearer explanation would have helped set expectations.
The Shirley Temples felt more like syrup & 7-Up without the classic citrus component. Coffee was average at best - I'd skip it next time.
They brought out complimentary mini cannolis for the table, which was a thoughtful touch & appreciated.
Total before tip was $197, & we left $100 in appreciation for the attentive service.
Overall, a solid lunch experience with generous portions & attentive service, with a few small opportunities to elevate attention to detail.
Tonight we tried Del Frisco for my birthday & it was absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had. I had the Novello Chicken with Minestrone Soup side dish. Both were excellent, especially the Novello Chicken.
We also tried mocktails & they were sublime. It's always nice when restaurants offer fancy non alcoholic drinks because soda is kind of redundant. My compliments to the chef, bartender & the friendly staff.
FYI : The plate in the picture is Novello Chicken & Vegan Tacos.

Amazing food & drinks lovely staff very friendly. I highly recommend this place ....not much more to add but as always an amazing experience one our favorite places to come to this is my wife & I's choice of place to come to for our anniversary
It was a Wednesday, not a very busy day really, but the service was slow, a little slower than slow, it was a table of 10 persons & we were arriving in a space of 20 minutes, finally we ordered some drinks & cocktails, after the drinks & having previously been reviewing the menu ...so it took 35 minutes for the waitress to come to take the food order & we ordered as starters meat balls in sauce with Cheese over & eggplant lasagna... & only then we knew that the Chef was not preparing the lasagna, which we should have known from minute 1... so she never told us, that way we would not have created false expectations & not wasted our time, but we ordered something else, after another 30 minutes at least, the starters arrived, the meat balls had an excellent flavor combined with the sauce & cheese, the texture was firm but soft to the palate, the first ball was really good, I was really enjoying it, the second came with a surprise, a piece of eggshell that the sound & sensation In the mouth, it's one of the most unpleasant thing you can find in a preparation, that killed the balls & ruined the moment (see images). However, my wife's starter replacement wasn't bad at all. Then, 42 more minutes passed before they came to collect the plates, & just over 15 minutes later the pancetta sandwich finally arrived, by that time we had no more appetite, then it took a good 40 minutes more to come & pick the dishes & ask about the desserts that only one of us ordered, then we asked for the sandwich that we had not touched, to take away, & after another 20 minutes or so, he came with the machine's bill.
We arrived at 6:22 pm & left at 9:13 pm. A long stay & not a full pleasant experience, although I can't say the rest of us weren't satisfied, but I didn't even ask. In short, I was left hoping for something better based on the reviews I had read.
The atmosphere is good & the decor is pleasant, perhaps with better waitressing & less carelessness from the Chef it would have been an excellent experience, just details could had change it all.
Great! Consistency excellent food & service (the drinks are great too), & lovely ambiance. Prices are reasonable too compared to other'trending' places in the West Island. Would absolutely recommend.
Go to the bar section on Thursday! Always served by angie & she gives the best service. Knows the drinks we want before we sit down! Great food & atmosphere 👌
Used to be so much better went in for my birthday & ordered a pizza with no mushrooms due to an allergy, once revived my food there was arugula covering the top so I cut a piece of the pizza took a bit & felt a taste of mushrooms sure enough there was, I flagged over our waited who bushed of off saying he knew, so if he did know why was it served in the first place had to end up waiting while the rest of my party ate, & taking Benadryl due to coming in contact with an allergen, not the way I wanted to spend my birthday! nor did I get my meal or drink comped, very disappointed
