Del Friscos provides a specialized menu focused on hearth-baked pizzas and traditional Italian staples. The kitchen prepares artisanal sandwiches using crusty bread and locally sourced ingredients to ensure consistent flavor profiles. Guests encounter a straightforward environment designed for efficient service and high-quality comfort food preparations. Every dough recipe utilizes fermentation techniques to achieve a light, airy texture that complements classic savory toppings. The menu emphasizes traditional sauce recipes and high-quality cheeses melted to order in stone-deck ovens. This focus on fundamental culinary techniques results in a reliable selection of rustic dishes tailored for those seeking authentic textures and robust flavors. The establishment maintains a standard of quality centered on the preparation of hand-stretched pizza crusts and carefully assembled meat-based sandwiches that prioritize ingredient freshness above all else.
Del Friscos is widely regarded as a solid dining destination in the West Island, frequently praised for its generous portions, high quality of food, and inviting atmosphere. Many patrons highlight the exceptional service provided by the staff, noting their professionalism, friendliness, and dedication to ensuring a positive experience for both small parties and large community gatherings. While the wood fired pizza, pasta, and various meat dishes are consistent favorites, a few visitors have pointed out occasional inconsistencies in meal preparation or service speed during busier times. Despite these isolated reports, the restaurant remains a popular go to for families and friends, thanks to its reasonable pricing, diverse menu options including plant based choices, and comfortable, attractive setting.
I was actually surprised that my girlfriend & I both wanted from the table d'hôte(I took the lamb chops, she took a chicken pasta with feta) I asked if I can have lamb chops'not table d'hôte' & she said it's the same price.
The waitress asked if we wanted soup or salad. We asked for salad & she asked if we wanted Ceasar or house. We asked for house. I asked her not to bring it, but pack it to go, as I didn't want to eat it at that time. When the bill was 10$ extra! She said the table d'hôte is soup only?! She never said anything about salad being extra (unheard of in table d'hôte) ... & she knew i didn't even want to eat it!! 😒 disappointed 😞 it cost me 156$ ...$10. doesn't change my life but it just seemed petty...
we have been going there for years....
We had a great waitress named Madison who unfortunately finished her shift as we wanted to tip her very well but she was gone. The place is beautifully set up very attractive great lighting great seating very comfortable roomy & large. A good selection of food although the chicken on top of salad I had might have had crispers salad unless soaked arugula & the chicken was pre-moistened, but it was possible.
.
Service was very good all the place was it not very busy on the Sunday mid late afternoon that we were there. We left at 5:00 p.m. & it wasn't flooded with dinars at all.
.
Nice place. Because of the loan & the good service, I would go back.
.
We had the table d'hôte. For entree we had the artichoke spinach dip which comes with focaccia. I definitely recommend this entree. Very tasty & cheesy. Cream of celery soup was decent. The main course was a personal pizza with mozzarella cheese, mortadella, roasted red peppers, green peppers & caramelized onions. Its was very good although the size could be a bit bigger. For dessert I would recommend the mini cannolis which is a great value for 4$.
All things considered, we had a very nice experience at Del Friscos & would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid Italian restaurant in the West Island.
(Also, ask about off menu items like the chicken & veal parmesan)

We were a group of 9 at Del Friscos to celebrate a birthday . Our server was Zoey…….she was absolutely fantastic. Service was timely without being rushed, she was open to questions & all service was provided with a smile. This despite a very full restaurant. We had various pizzas, pasta & 1 chicken dish . The food was delicious & the portions very generous. A small cake was provided for the birthday girl & Zoey very kindly brought complimentary mini cannolis for the group. Overall a great experience. Thank you Zoey
Stopped in for lunch on our way out of Montreal on a Saturday with a party of five (4 adults, 1 child).
There was no one at the front when we first walked in, but we were acknowledged shortly after & seated promptly. We were seated at a white cloth tablecloth table, which gave a nice home-style feel, though I did question consistency since not all tables had them.
I did have to ask for a kids' menu for my 8-year-old, which felt like a small detail that could have been anticipated.
Service overall was strong. Our waitress was attentive, especially with drink refills, & maintained good energy throughout.
We ordered a good variety: chipotle mango chicken, Jack Daniel's chicken, short ribs, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, penne with meatballs, a fettuccine Alfredo kids' meal, plus the soup of the day options - minestrone & potato.
The minestrone was very good. The potato soup was okay but a little underwhelming. Portion sizes were generous across the board, including the kids' meal.
The short ribs weren't what we expected - more of a roast-style preparation without a bone. While it was mentioned they weren't classic ribs, a clearer explanation would have helped set expectations.
The Shirley Temples felt more like syrup & 7-Up without the classic citrus component. Coffee was average at best - I'd skip it next time.
They brought out complimentary mini cannolis for the table, which was a thoughtful touch & appreciated.
Total before tip was $197, & we left $100 in appreciation for the attentive service.
Overall, a solid lunch experience with generous portions & attentive service, with a few small opportunities to elevate attention to detail.
Tonight we tried Del Frisco for my birthday & it was absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had. I had the Novello Chicken with Minestrone Soup side dish. Both were excellent, especially the Novello Chicken.
We also tried mocktails & they were sublime. It's always nice when restaurants offer fancy non alcoholic drinks because soda is kind of redundant. My compliments to the chef, bartender & the friendly staff.
FYI : The plate in the picture is Novello Chicken & Vegan Tacos.
I always have enjoyed Del Frisco's for lunch with their amazing salads! Our group decided to go for dinner last Saturday night & it was very busy so expected that it would be a bit slower than usual but what was surprising was the food quality which was very disappointing. The speciality sandwiches were just ok with side of fries being soft & greasy, eggplant parmigiana was terrible, burnt on top & raw in middle & the table d'hote chicken was dry & side of pasta (garlic/oil) very bland although the chickens rice soup was good.
Will be sticking to salad (& pizza) at lunch here.
I went with my friends to this restaurant Saturday night. We made reservations because this place is popular. We all ordered the table D'ote because it was the better deal including soup or salad & a beverage. My friend & I ordered the chicken dish, my other friend ordered the mussels. We all enjoyed the food. I did find my soup tasted a bit like the cream in the soup was a bit sour. It was okay but I've tasted better. The waiter was friendly & gave us excellent service. The place was extremely noisy due to it being crowded. We almost could not hear each other talk. Parking was easy to find since the restaurant is in a shopping mall with plenty of parking. Of course the parking is free. All in all it was a good experience.
