Great food, mushroom toast was memorable & I thoroughly enjoyed the london fog. Will miss this place when I fly back to DC!
Food was good. Pancakes were delicious. Hubby had the chicken sandwich. So big he couldn't bite into it with out removing one of the chickens on it. He really liked though. People were nice but it does feel a little cramped. Would go again.
Love this place always. I've been several times now & I am never disappointed. The pancakes are fluffy & delicious. I had the salmon toast this time & it was very good, fresh & flavourful. The portions are generous, the coffee is good & the service is good. Note that it gets quite loud in there, I know some people dislike that. Worth it 100% though!
Très bon brunch, les assiettes étaient vraiment succulentes & le menu plus original que la plupart des places à déjeuners!
Seul bémol, l'ambiance est un peu plus froide qu'elle paraît sur les photos.
Mis à part ça le service était très bon.
Dandy's was a wonderful Sunday brunch experience all around! We arrived at the peak time & waited for a short time, but the staff kept busy & the tables turned. The dining area table arrangement was so unique, offering neighborly banter or privacy. We enjoyed brief exchanges with both our neighbors on either sides, which certainly enhanced our positive experience of the restaurant & the city!
The food selection was limited but inclusive of brunch favorites with Dandy's special prep! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich & loved it. I only wished I could have also ordered the pancakes. Two cocktails are included in our final bill, plus gratuity. I thought it was reasonably priced.
The service was attentive, courteous & friendly. I couldn't ask for more.
Dandy's is a bustling hotspot that draws crowds, especially on weekends when you might find yourself waiting in line for about 30 minutes. So, is the wait worth it? Personally, I'd say not quite. But if you happen to stroll by when there's no queue, it's definitely worth a try.
Our main reason for visiting was to indulge in their renowned ricotta pancakes. Some reviews compare them to the pancakes at OEB Breakfast Co., which you can find in Vancouver & Toronto. In my honest opinion, they don't really compare - OEB still takes the crown. Dandy's pancakes are dense & tend to stick to your sides longer, which might appeal to some. If lemon flavor is your thing, great. Otherwise, ask for lemon cream on the side. The salad we ordered was nice but didn't really stand out.
Food was amazingly good! It was our first time visiting Montreal, & I'm glad we came here for brunch.
Wait was about a half hour at 1pm on Sunday, but so worth it! Our group ordered the ricotta pancakes, fried chix sandwhich, & endless summer. All were delicious & mind blowing. Ricotta pancakes were dense (in a good way!).
A little bit of a wait to get seated but very worth it. We had a very nice breakfast here, with absolutely excellent service.
We had a smoked salmon sandwich & an Endless Summer Breakfast. The server was very attentive & understanding with a good allergy we brought up which was great to see.
I ate the endless breakfast & while it was a bit different than what I'd normally eat (not a fan of tomatoes or cucumbers), it was delicious. I really enjoyed it & would 100% eat it again.
Great start to the day & also a great Tira Misu coffee to get going for a full day or activity too.
We ended up in dandy on a fluke because we had a food crawl to go to but wanted a matcha latte. & that was probably the best matcha latte i've had!!! We just got pastries but they were delish as well! & we didn't realize the line up this place had but we were first in line!
The food was absolutely incredible, & the service was unmatched. The pancakes were to die for, I would pay 100$ for the pancakes & would wait 40 minutes in line for the food & experience ANY DAY. My fav brunch spot by fa
3 of us sat outside for brunch on a hot day in June. We enjoyed our food. Two of us had the fried chicken (& enjoyed); one added an egg. I ordered ala carte - toast, egg & a side of avocado.
For beverages, we had a passion fruit lemonade (very tasty), iced matcha late & iced tea.
Service was good, if a little slow. The outdoor seating area was small, but comfortable. It was obviously a little loud because of street noise, but having a normal conversation was not a problem.
Very cute interior, food was decent. A bit on the pricey end. Make sure you get there early or else you will be waiting to get a table.
My wife & tried both the endless summer breakfast & ricotta pancakes. Both were outstanding. I'd recommend to anyone!
We've been waiting to try this place for a long time after hearing so many good reviews. We only had the pancakes to share for dessert & it was very disappointing. The pancakes were mushy & spongy, & there was fried bits under the dough of something bitter. The sauce & strawberry's are good but that's it. It costed 34$ for the pancakes. Would definitely not recommend unfortunately.
What a great surprise. Short brunch menu. Bright & airy, friendly staff, & the best fried chicken sandwich in the world.
Great spot for a delicious & hearty breakfast! We had the chicken sandwich & the endless summer breakfast. The service (Charo), coffee, & atmosphere were all excellent! We'll be back!
I would have given 5 stars but the chicken in the sandwich was bland, the bun & condiments made it good, but as they put 2 pieces of Chicken in it I was eating it alone & found it to be tastless. Service was great, pancakes were great coffee was very nice all in all a great experience... just need to add a little salt to the chicken.
