Those ricotta pancakes are on a different level. Something about the setting & aesthetics of the restaurant too was just comforting & homey.

Dandy in Old Port absolutely nailed it. Our party of four was seated & served shockingly fast, & the service from Uriel & Antoni was warm, attentive, & genuinely kind. Michael's menu is a joy to read & even better to eat-those pancakes with maple syrup & ricotta-lemon cream were the best of my life. We ordered one of every dessert for the table & didn't leave a crumb. Beautiful atmosphere & design, delicious food, flawless service. Can't wait to come back.

Dandy's is a bustling hotspot that draws crowds, especially on weekends when you might find yourself waiting in line for about 30 minutes. So, is the wait worth it? Personally, I'd say not quite. But if you happen to stroll by when there's no queue, it's definitely worth a try.
Our main reason for visiting was to indulge in their renowned ricotta pancakes. Some reviews compare them to the pancakes at OEB Breakfast Co., which you can find in Vancouver & Toronto. In my honest opinion, they don't really compare - OEB still takes the crown. Dandy's pancakes are dense & tend to stick to your sides longer, which might appeal to some. If lemon flavor is your thing, great. Otherwise, ask for lemon cream on the side. The salad we ordered was nice but didn't really stand out.

Wait was about a half hour at 1pm on Sunday, but so worth it! Our group ordered the ricotta pancakes, fried chix sandwhich, & endless summer. All were delicious & mind blowing. Ricotta pancakes were dense (in a good way!).

What an amazing brunch spot! 5/5 & not even exaggerating. Yes you have to wait in line since it's super popular. Be there early, they open at 10 & there's already a line. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, fingerlings potatoes & the ricotta pancakes. Everything is so delicious & made to perfection! The waiter was friendly & sweet. The maple lattes were pretty yummy too. It's definitely one of my favorite brunch spots. Will come back to try other items.

Walked in & immediately loved the vibe of Dandy. The food was OUT of this world, so much flavor, beautiful presentation. Get the ricotta pancakes & the side of potatoes, it's a must.
Charo was the BEST server!! Make sure to stop in (it might be a little of a wait but it's worth it)

There's a line here for good reason. The food is excellent as is the service for a spot so busy. We had Caesars to start followed by the Chicken Sandwich, Ricotta Pancakes & fingerling potatoes. Everything was fabulous.

I really loved eating at dandy! My family wants to go again asap. The food was delicious & had giant portions-we didn't finish it all. The fingerling potatoes with aioli were incredibly crispy, salty, & tangy in all the right ways. The pancakes were simple, but done well. They were so thick & soft & the thick caramel syrup with the bitter ricotta cream was delicious. The fried chicken sandwhich was huge & juicy. It could use some hot sauce! Finally, the italiano was classic & delicious. Drinks were good too! There was a long line out the door, though, so don't show up starving.

The place opens up at 10 am & glad we made it in time for the last seat at the opening right after there was a super long line of folks waiting to get seated for over 30 mins!!
We tried all their popular ones - ricotta pancakes , mushroom toast & the avocado toast all of them are surprisingly tasty & filling it sure was a good call.

Dandy's is was so bomb! Worth every penny & every minute of the wait!Every bite was exceptional, from the crispy fried chicken burger to the rich aioli that perfectly complemented the golden potatoes. The service was impeccable, & our food arrived so quick.
The ricotta pancakes were so delicious, I couldn't resist scraping up every last drop of maple syrup with my spoon! If you haven't tried Dandy's yet- you're missing out. We're already counting down the days until we can come back!

My pictures are so bad 😭😭 they do not capture how amazing this food was. Pro tip: you can put the fried chicken on the ricotta pancakes for a chicken&waffle type meal. The ricotta pancakes SLAPPED. The endless summer breakfast was good but just make it at home. The 5 stars is all because of the ricotta pancakes they're amazing. Go for that only & eat at home if you're still hungry

I think it's seasonal, or a current special but they need to keep it on their permanent menu. Their tiramisu latte was divine! Perfect in every way. The ricotta pancakes is also a must - make sure to get it fully loaded! They don't take reservations, so best time to get seated is at opening!

Top notch brunch spot. This is the type of place where you should share dishes so you can try more items & mix sweet & savoury. All 3 items we ordered were homeruns: ricotta pancakes with the special garnish, mushroom toast, fingerling potatoes. The mushroom toast is notable. The mushrooms are juicy & flavourful, stacked in a giant pile.
