I really loved eating at dandy! My family wants to go again asap. The food was delicious & had giant portions-we didn't finish it all. The fingerling potatoes with aioli were incredibly crispy, salty, & tangy in all the right ways. The pancakes were simple, but done well. They were so thick & soft & the thick caramel syrup with the bitter ricotta cream was delicious. The fried chicken sandwhich was huge & juicy. It could use some hot sauce! Finally, the italiano was classic & delicious. Drinks were good too! There was a long line out the door, though, so don't show up starving.

The place opens up at 10 am & glad we made it in time for the last seat at the opening right after there was a super long line of folks waiting to get seated for over 30 mins!!
We tried all their popular ones - ricotta pancakes , mushroom toast & the avocado toast all of them are surprisingly tasty & filling it sure was a good call.
Dandy's is was so bomb! Worth every penny & every minute of the wait!Every bite was exceptional, from the crispy fried chicken burger to the rich aioli that perfectly complemented the golden potatoes. The service was impeccable, & our food arrived so quick.
The ricotta pancakes were so delicious, I couldn't resist scraping up every last drop of maple syrup with my spoon! If you haven't tried Dandy's yet- you're missing out. We're already counting down the days until we can come back!
My pictures are so bad 😭😭 they do not capture how amazing this food was. Pro tip: you can put the fried chicken on the ricotta pancakes for a chicken&waffle type meal. The ricotta pancakes SLAPPED. The endless summer breakfast was good but just make it at home. The 5 stars is all because of the ricotta pancakes they're amazing. Go for that only & eat at home if you're still hungry
I think it's seasonal, or a current special but they need to keep it on their permanent menu. Their tiramisu latte was divine! Perfect in every way. The ricotta pancakes is also a must - make sure to get it fully loaded! They don't take reservations, so best time to get seated is at opening!
Top notch brunch spot. This is the type of place where you should share dishes so you can try more items & mix sweet & savoury. All 3 items we ordered were homeruns: ricotta pancakes with the special garnish, mushroom toast, fingerling potatoes. The mushroom toast is notable. The mushrooms are juicy & flavourful, stacked in a giant pile.

We tried the ricotta pancake & tiramisu latte. I mean, the photo can just tell you how delicious it was. I personally like my desserts on less sweet side & this was surprisingly just sweet enough :)
This place is a fantastic spot for brunch. My wife & I visited Montreal to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, & this place caught our attention. It's modern, easy to find, & offers a delightful array of brunch options. The endless summer breakfast & ricotta pancakes were both exceptional.
A restaurant to SKIP if you're looking for a lunch spot. Food: overpriced, nothing special. Pasta was mid & the shrimp coquette tasted like pre-made grocery store food. Ricotta pancakes are the only worth while menu item. Service: As another reviewer mentioned, the wait for food is >15 minutes. This is excessive. Atmosphere: good looking interior, seating is decent.
Sept 2024 -Didnt like it. ordered chicken sandwich, ricotta pancake & breakfast avocado toast. All were OK. Food is overrated. Ambiance is good though. Coffee was OK too.
A friend told me about this place & it did not disappoint! Super convenient because it was close to our hotel. There is seating indoors & outdoors, & when we came on a Thursday afternoon we did not have to wait long. Many people checked on us & we were very well taken care of. My mom & I shared the endless summer breakfast & she loved it so much that she's going to try & make it at home! Really tasty ingredients that were fresh & healthy. I also had an iced maple latte which was really good! If we have more time I will come back & try the ricotta pancakes because they looked amazing & it seemed like there was one on every table!
Wow! That's all I have to say. I ordered the Ricotta pancakes & I was completely blown away. It was beautiful. I took a bite from a friend's chicken sandwich & wow! Applause. This was a delight. The food is pricey but worth it.
Please go to Dandy for the ricotta pancakes!!! I would have ordered one of everything on the menu but decided on zesty salad, which was SO GOOD. The spiked pistachio matcha latte too! I dream about having lunch at Dandy after my visit 😂
Disappointing. I heard about the ricotta pancakes & had to try them. I make anginetti cookies with ricotta & they are super soft & light so I was imagining something similar. These were dense, with visible clumps of dry, bland ricotta. The syrup they were sitting in was a must. Restaurant was full on a Thursday at about 11 am - we were seated right away but the tables were so close together along a long bench that I had to move the table to sit down. No carpet or soft surfaces so sounded like a typical loud, busy diner. I tried to order a scrambled egg to get some protein with my pancakes & learned they would not serve their eggs scrambled, only poached or fried. I ordered hard over because I don't like a wet yolk. Came out so salty I could barely eat it. Maybe the chef was offended by my order? The experience just didn't live up to the the hype.
Absolutely amazing brunch experience! I'll be thinking about the ricotta pancakes til we come back. Service was great! Drinks were great! Our patio spot was great! 💕
Of the many dishes we ordered, all of them tasted amazing. Almost no improvement is needed to make these dishes perfect. Probably the best meal I have eaten this year! If you're going to come here, I strongly suggest if you're coming for breakfast, to order the strawberry ricotta pancakes & the crispy smashed fingerling potatoes. The service was pretty good, bro not the best it could be. At first, our waiter seemed like he was very patient & wasn't afraid of talking, but almost when we were halfway done with our meal, our waiter seemed as if he didn't want to really talk & help us, however this didn't at all make an impact on the rating & my feelings of this restaurant. Don't forget to order the crispy smashed fingerling potatoes!
