Dalmata was absolutely delicious. We tried the Fior di Latte & Apricot twist, along with the Chocolate & Pistachio twist, & both were fantastic. The flavours tasted fresh, rich, & well-balanced without being overly sweet. The pistachio especially had a real, authentic flavour, & the apricot paired surprisingly well with the creamy Fior di Latte.
Its a little pricey but it's definitely worth it. That said, the quality of the ingredients & the unique flavour combinations made it feel worth it as an occasional treat.
If you're looking to treat yourself to some high-quality gelato-style soft serve, Dalmata is well worth a visit.
The quality of the ice cream is top tier (probably my favourite in the city), & the service is excellent. My only'criticism' is the amount that is given for the price point. Very small portions for what you pay for.
Dalmata truly puts the Perfect in Parfait. The proof was in the unique Cannoli sundae I tried while seated on one of their two open yet cozy seating spots in front & besides there kiosk-like gelato shop. The flavours du moment were pistachio twisted with dark chocolate & fior di latte swirled with cherry of which I opted for the former. The amazing & talented gelato artist formulated my sundae with pieces of cannoli crust, candied orange pieces, a layer of chocolate syrup & of course a bright red cherry. If that's not enough to set them apart, I would have to say it's quality & richness of their gelato as well as their staff who are personable, bright & fun. I know the price may be higher than some but for such a premium delight it might just be worth the splurge & subsequent happy feeling you get! Keep up the great work!
Mid. Basic cones served are of that quality you can expect from party city. Expensive too.
Visited Dalmata to try this new local gem! It is owned by the same team from Le Violon. I tried the 2 twist combinations as well as the sundae (yes, I went with an appetite). The twist combos were tastefully put together for the summer season. If I had to pick, the strawberry chocolate is my new go-to flavour! I enjoyed them in a cup & it was perfect. The sundae had vanilla ice cream with a hint of mint infused in it. The chocolate sauce & strawberry pieces made the piece come alive. As someone who dislikes strawberries, I cannot imagine the sundae without it because of their texture & added sweetness. It just goes to show that every detail & flavour is considered at Dalmata. The price matches the high quality food & service, in my opinion. 5/5 recommend!
tried here twice, positives:
+sundae is really good, you can feel the high quality
+barbotine zam is amazing, must try.
+apricot is really nice, best apricot ice cream I've ever tried
+design is super cute
negatives:
-sundae should be 30% bigger, for 10.50 I won't eat it regularly, it's so small. too many good competitors next streets, I think this is the smallest portion per price
I couldn't find anything else
Despite only trying the Apricot gelato & Barbotine Zam (hibiscus slush 🤤🤤), which were both incredible, we could taste a very natural quality that showcases deep, rich, & natural flavors.
The parlor itself is adorned with an adorable, almost whimsical pastel-colored decor that added a playful, semi-vintage charm to the setting.
It's a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in quality flavors in a beautifully inviting environment.
