From its magnificent mahogany staircase to its high ceilings and natural fireplaces and its private salon to its appetizing antipasto and dessert display, Da Vinci will rejoice both your eyes and your palate.
To compliment your meal, an extensive list of wines from 20 regions of Italy is offered. Before turning to dessert, walnuts are offered to accompany the wine. Then it's time for some classic Italian sweets or a few novelties such as the duo of iced mousse, dark chocolate and amaretto !

Phenomenal experience. Fruité de mer is sensational & the service was excellent: friendly, prompt & provided helpful recommendations. Can also recommend the tuna tartare & the king crab pasta. Made reservations for dinner about 6-7hrs ahead of time that day. Husband & I found this resto on Google maps. Wednesday night on September 13 at 815PM was our reservation time. Came in & immediately greeted & seated. After a day filled with eating & meeting amazing servers at various restaurants we decided to forgo appetizers & drinks & just split an entree & dessert since we were so stuffed. My main complaint is that the servers were not friendly at all with us. There were two servers coming to our table & moving around us, one of them would worldlessly set food (some sort of small complimentary appetizer with tomato & olives & bread with vinegar & olive oil) in front of us, barely looking at us while he did it. We didn’t order it, so you would think he’d explain what was in front of us, but he didn’t explain what it was at all. Not sure if he could speak English or not but like I said he barely looked at us & didn’t even smile even though I smiled & tried to make eye contact & even tried speaking a bit of French like we’ve been doing to the delight of other servers during our vacation here. Didn’t ask us if we had questions about the menu at all. & then the other server came maybe 2-3 times during our 1.5hrs there, barely spoke & yet I saw him checking on the other tables next to us repeatedly without their prompting/calling for him. I assume he was supposed to be our main server but again not sure bc the two servers barely gave us a second thought. Our food came, the Osso Bucco & no one ever came to ask if we liked the meal or to check on us (it was delicious thankfully).Part of the money spent at places like this is supposed to include great service as part of the experience, & I could see if they were understaffed but like I said, the tables around us got excellent service, the kind of service I’m used to experiencing no matter where I go. One of our servers was a darker slim gentleman & the other was a white balding older gentleman, didn’t even get their names because they didn’t bother to introduce themselves.
Didn’t even get dessert like I wanted bc the service was so offputting…& I did want dessert bc I asked at the beginning of the night & got told that I had to wait, & even though we sat with a clean plate no one came for 10 min meanwhile the table next to us got offered dessert with no prompting.View more

Arrived in Montreal late evening, it was the only restaurant that was open. & luckily for me. I got to sit at the bar & have a delicious charcuterie board & salad. A delicious piece of lamb included on the board. Define cuts of dried meats & olives in cheeses.. I was so full. I took the salad home & it was delicious the next day for lunch.
The staff is very professional, especially the girl bartender behind the bar. She made me feel very welcomed.

Incredible atmosphere! The foo. was amazing & lived up to the reputation. I came here with my girlfriend & we were really impressed. It’s unfortunate that our service experience was so underwhelming. The waiting staff was extremely friendly, professional & welcoming, however after the initial introduction we were basically forgotten about. After our staters we waited an hour for our main course to arrive & never checked in with by staff. The tables around us received their food long before us despite the fact that they ordered after us. I ordered a gin & tonic which was probably the best I’ve ever had. I was never asked if I wanted another one after I finished. Once we got our main course we were never asked how the food was which is disappointing. We were offered a dessert menu & the waiter didn’t return for about 15 minutes. We didn’t end up getting a dessert just because we were tired of waiting. Honestly, it wasn’t that busy that it should have taken that long. For the price point of the meal, that shouldn’t have happened.
Overall everything was great minus our service experience which for me is a make or break deal. It felt disrespectful that others around us seemed to get preferential treatment.View more

We had reservations for a Friday night & we arrived 15 minutes early & were seated immediately. Our waiter was phenomenal! I had a tough time deciding between two dishes & he split them in 2 so I could try both. Besides the amazing service, the food was amazing! We had the burrata appetizer which was incredibly smooth. The mushroom ravioli was hands down the favorite dish which was quickly eaten. The lamb cavatelli dish was also delicious but it couldn't compete with the richness of the truffle & mushroom. Was excited to come here & it was a sad disappointment. The food was mediocre at best & the service was bordering on offensive & very slow. My crab ravioli was cold & flavorless, the shrimp appetizer was bland & the cheese plate never arrived. The waiter said they were short on cheese & he would give us the port for free & ended up charging us. Worse I saw another table with guess what a cheese plate. He seemed to be hustling us out the door. Never checked on us & frankly I believe as my colleague is gay that he thought we were a couple & maybe was discriminating. Can't come up with another explanation. Cross this off the list.

We just spent the weekend in Montreal. Four different restaurants. This is head & shoulders the best restaurant we experienced. It is by any measure exceptional, in every way. The lamb was exquisite. The shrimp cocktail delicious & the cod was truly remarkable. Great service all around in a warm & welcoming setting. Exceptional. We will be back.

We reserved the main floor for our Corporate event....
What an amazing night we had!
The staff was dedicated, kind & so well organized! We were about 55 people.... & they delivered!
The venue was beautiful & the food...OMG!!! I never had a Burrata that fresh, that tasty, that good! & don't get me started over the Rib-eye Steak!!
I strongly recommend the Da Vinci for your events, you will definitely not regret it!!!

An absolute delight...... Carlo our waiter was charming & full of great suggestions. Our group of four could not have asked for a better experience. This restaurant has become one of my favorites, the food quality & service is top notch.
We were a large group & everyone was extremely satisfied.
Appetizers were all good, the veal Carpaccio was tender & tasty, the caprice with mozzarella Di Bufala was the freshest I’ve ever tasted.
Main courses also received rave reviews from everyone. The veal ossobuco with risotto was amazing, roasted veal, grilled lamb chops, seafood linguini, shrimp & crab dish all received top honors from our friends.
The service was beyond reproach, our waiter “Carlo” was always available & made some amazing recommendations on both food & wine. Rarely do you see service this good, he must have years of experience & it really shows in the confident matter exhibited.
Decor could use an update, but still very nice & classically decorated, has not changed in many years.
Price wise, it is expensive, with wine tip & tax, approx $250 per couple, but well worth it for this level of food quality & service.
I would highly recommend it.

Tout était parfait. Service courtois. Excellente nourriture. Pâtes al dente, fruits de mer & filet de boeuf tendres. Serveurs très sympathiques. Il faut dire que nous sommes allés tôt (17h30) donc il n'y avait pas foule. Je recommande.

This is one of my favorites in Montreal. Food is certainly lovely! Delicious til the very last bite! My partner & i gave this a try from groupon.ca & what had was a truly wonderful experience. Very good service. Exceptional food. We went here one winter of 2013 & we just fell in love with the place, food, service & everything in it! Definitely recommending this place to friends!

C'était ma 4e fois dans ce restaurant & une première pour ma blonde. C'était un cadeau de st-valentin, six jours plus tôt & ce soir c'est devenu le tout nouveau #1 des restaurants que moi & ma blonde avons fait depuis l'été 2012. Pour ma part, rien n'a changer & toujours aussi de très bonne qualité. Le service est toujours très rapide & toujours courtois. On parle d'un grand restaurant italien & qui fait toujours honneur. Reste que les prix sont toujours élevés, mais la qualité est toujours au rendez-vous. Avec nos entrées, nos plat principaux & nos desserts sans oublier le verre de vin rouge de ma blonde…incluant les taxes & pourboires ça coûté 200$CAD pile. Pas pour un budget restreint ou standard, mais pour une exception, ça vaut la peine.

Une très belle expérience à un prix qui reflète la qualité de la nourriture & du service.
En entré : Pétoncle géant, carpaccio de boeuf, carpaccio de saumon & burrata. En un mot, très bon.
Pour les plats principaux j'ai commandé un rizzoto au fruit de mer ( pas sur la carte mais y'a qu'à demander :) ) nous avions aussi l'ossobuco, les crevettes géantes farci au crabe & les linguini aux fruit de mer. Tout les plats étaient aussi beau que bon mais la vedette, de l'avis de tous, était le rizzoto. Autant le mien que celui qui accompagnait l'ossobuco sont, sans aucun doute, parmis les meilleurs à Montréal. Pour le reste, très bon.La cuisson & le goût du homard étaient absolument parfait.
Comme dessert : Tiramisu & crème brulée, très bon.
Nous n'avons pas fait de découverte, autant pour les présentations que pour les goûts, mais je vous assure que les traditions italiennes sont respectées.
Est-ce que je vais y retourner ? Sûrement pour le rizzoto aux fruit de mer car il est parfait, sinon je ne crois pas.
Je recommande quand même sans hésitation.

Didn't enjoy my experience here even though I have wanted to come here for years.
From the salmon carpaccio which was very good but a very small portion for the price to the bland beef tenderloin to the boring tiramisu.
Would I come back? Yes if only to see if they were having an off night.
