Da Vinci Ristorante is, without question, one of the finest Italian restaurants in the city, delivering an unforgettable dining experience that blends authentic cuisine with impeccable service. From the moment we stepped into the elegant yet warm ambiance, we were transported to the heart of a traditional Italy cuisine.
The highlight of my evening was the rack of lamb (picturef), cooked to absolute perfection, tender, juicy, & bursting with flavor, with a rosemary infused crust that elevated every bite. My meal began with the salmon tartare starter, a delightful symphony of fresh, velvety salmon, accented with zesty citrus & delicate spices, a true testament to Da Vinci's commitment to quality ingredients.
The service was nothing short of exceptional. The staff was attentive, warm, & genuinely invested in making our evening special. The atmosphere, with its sophisticated yet cozy vibe, made it the ideal setting for a memorable night out with my wife, brother-in-law & sister-in-law.
Da Vinci Ristorante is a gem that exceeds expectations, offering world-class Italian fare & hospitality that leaves you eager to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a culinary experience that's as heartfelt as it is exquisite.Voir plus
Ate there on Nov 2, 2024 for my girlfriend's birthday. The ambiance was so boring. Had to tell the waiter put some Italian music on, as I couldn't hear it. Which he did. The decor for a high-end resto, was also boring. I looked at boring whitish wall papered walls all evening. Ordered the burrata which was good as entree. We both ordered the pasta, mine (lamb pasta at $39) was salty & lacked flavours, no wow factor what so ever. Hers was better, veal rague pasta at $39 too. Service was good, but waiter forgot to bring us bread. Cheapest wine was 75$ a bottle, which was decent tasting. I told them it was my girlfriend's birthday (when making reservations & when I got there), I heard crickets while others had happy birthday sung to them. Not even a complimentary desserts for her, after dropping $240. Overpriced & really not worth it. Never again.Voir plus
OK so having Italian roots I don't normally go to Italian places because I'm always disappointed in the food & I always think homemade is better but this place is out of this world! Is it pricey?Quite a bit , yes but the vibe is immaculate. The overall charm of this place is Simply splendid the owner of the place is super nice & Vincenzo has my heart, always gives me the best service ever. The food itself is simply amazing. The lamb chops are juicy, & the grilled octopus is simply to die for, I tried many of their dish , & they are all simply amazing, especially their lobster risotto & the ragu di agnello! Overall 20/ 10🤩Voir plus
Was able to snag a booking for New Year's Eve at this restaurant. Located in a beautiful part of Montreal. Service was perfect & so was the meal. I had the rack of lamb & my friend had the salmon. Both plates were pretty much licked clean. Also recommend the tiramisu for dessert.Voir plus
Arrived in Montreal late evening, it was the only restaurant that was open. & luckily for me. I got to sit at the bar & have a delicious charcuterie board & salad. A delicious piece of lamb included on the board. Define cuts of dried meats & olives in cheeses.. I was so full. I took the salad home & it was delicious the next day for lunch.
The staff is very professional, especially the girl bartender behind the bar. She made me feel very welcomed.
Highly recommend.Voir plus
We had reservations for a Friday night & we arrived 15 minutes early & were seated immediately. Our waiter was phenomenal! I had a tough time deciding between two dishes & he split them in 2 so I could try both. Besides the amazing service, the food was amazing! We had the burrata appetizer which was incredibly smooth. The mushroom ravioli was hands down the favorite dish which was quickly eaten. The lamb cavatelli dish was also delicious but it couldn't compete with the richness of the truffle & mushroom. I highly recommend Da Vinci!Voir plus
We just spent the weekend in Montreal. Four different restaurants. This is head & shoulders the best restaurant we experienced. It is by any measure exceptional, in every way. The lamb was exquisite. The shrimp cocktail delicious & the cod was truly remarkable. Great service all around in a warm & welcoming setting. Exceptional. We will be back.
This restaurant has become one of my favorites, the food quality & service is top notch.
We were a large group & everyone was extremely satisfied.
Appetizers were all good, the veal Carpaccio was tender & tasty, the caprice with mozzarella Di Bufala was the freshest I’ve ever tasted.
Main courses also received rave reviews from everyone. The veal ossobuco with risotto was amazing, roasted veal, grilled lamb chops, seafood linguini, shrimp & crab dish all received top honors from our friends.
The service was beyond reproach, our waiter “Carlo” was always available & made some amazing recommendations on both food & wine. Rarely do you see service this good, he must have years of experience & it really shows in the confident matter exhibited.
Decor could use an update, but still very nice & classically decorated, has not changed in many years.
Price wise, it is expensive, with wine tip & tax, approx $250 per couple, but well worth it for this level of food quality & service.
I would highly recommend it.
