I am not sure if its authentic as the waitress didnt know any of the thai meals or plates I mentioned/ ingredients/ etc. Maybe if she was new but the menu is small enough to know it. The kra pow is usually more seasoned, with crispy minced pork but this was mushy & lacking veggies. Ambiance is nice, not authentic but still the inside is beautiful (more of a bar)View more
Great Thai tavern, small bites, Satay's are amazing, maybe best Thai chicken wings I've had, curries, pad Thai, papaya salad all excellent. Good vib music, drinks & wine, & small 8oz beers.View more
Visited this Thai restaurant on Sunday night, Parking was a hassle, & when we arrived at 8:00 PM, the place was empty, which almost made us leave. But we decided to stay & try it out.
We ordered fried pork belly, beef, & fried chicken salad. The pork belly was great, crispy with a tangy dipping sauce. The beef & chicken salad were not bad, both sweet & spicy but tasted pretty similar.
We also tried the mango sticky rice, which was very sweet - sweeter than what I had in Bangkok, with a lot of condensed milk. It seems this place leans toward a sweeter flavor profile.
The place feels more like a bar than a restaurant, with smaller portions that are better for sharing & having drinks. The inside had an odd smell, like it needed some maintenance, maybe sitting outside would be better?
Not bad for a quick bite & drinks.View more
Every dish was exceptionally delicious, starting with the housemade mignonette for the oysters, which was out of this world. The Pad Thai was amazing, boasting incredible flavor & the perfect level of spice. We also loved the skewers-both pork & chicken were juicy & flavorful.
Another highlight was the delicious sausage with coriander, which had a unique taste that we couldn't resist.
We were blown away by the wonderful & creative cocktails.
For dessert, the sticky rice with mango was superb. SUPERB. -we couldn't stop eating it, even whIile already completely full 😅
On top of the incredible food & drinks, the daily beer special ($2.75 for a 6-oz lager), & Wednesday's $1 oysters, made for fantastic deals.
Service was super fast & friendly, making the overall experience even better. We had a wonderful; we highly suggest you go!View more
I went with a friend late night & we got there about an hour before closing. The service was great everyone working there were friendly & the PAD THAI was really tasty def would go againView more
Usually you can't go wrong with Thai food ... but the papaya salad had a very strong fishy taste (beyond just the usual fish sauce), perhaps too many dried shrimps in it. We had meatballs, sausage, fried rice & the chicken satay skewers. Not too bad, but some of the dishes were salty.
Service was okay, nothing exceptional. But most upsetting is the non-compliance to the new Bill 72. The 15% tipping option was off the bottom line & not the'before tax'. Only realized after we walked out from looking at the bill because you barely have time to check the pinpad while its waiting for the payment card to be tapped. Had high expectations, but likely not returning.View more
Best Thai food I've ever had with delicious & creative drinks. The owners are so kind & all of the wait staff were so pleasant. Highly recommend you stop by for a drink & meal!View more
We are visiting from the DC area & came here for dinner because it looked like it had a great atmosphere. The food & service was amazing! We were here for trivia on Sunday night & they were willing to translate for us to be able to participate.
We had the Pork Belly special with bok choy, Pad Thai, & Stir Fried Pork. We also had the Sticky Rice, which had the mango in the shape of a flower. It was some of the best Thai food that we have ever had. The cocktails were really good as well.
We would highly recommend this restaurant. The owner & staff were all very friendly & welcoming.View more
Low key, unpretentious, great Thai food. Very affordable. We had a lovely time. I will return.View more
Authentic Thai food. Ying, the chef, is available to talk about her plates. Service provides informative advice about the various plates on the menu. Price is reasonable. 👍View more
View more
Delicious Thai food with great services in a fun, laid back atmosphere.View more
View more
Came here for MTL a table, nice menu. Pad Thai - decent! Crispy pork belly - great but the star was the sauce for this. Homemade sausage - okay. Papaya salad was tough & under seasoned. Century egg with mango was delish but also under seasoned. Would come back.View more
Great Thai street food at affordable prices. Feels very authentic; I loved their Pad Thai. Great service, team has awesome vibes. I strongly recommend!View more
View more
Five stars don't even do this store justice. I have had Thai food in other highly rated places in New York & Calgary, yet they all seem to fall short of the experience at CupMTL. During our time there, we got introduced to almost everyone working there from the owner to the bartender. We had a lot of fun talking to them, & they went out of their way to gift us with shots & Chef special dessert. For the food we ordered, we enjoyed every bite of them. More importantly the prices were more than reasonable. $32 for a whole seabass?!! Yes, that's the price range we were talking about here. I'm definitely coming back in the near future.View more
CUP MTL is the spot to BE! My siblings & I came here for dinner with a friend on our last day visiting Montréal. They were a vibe! Food was top tier! Anything you order will make you feel satisfied. What we ordered: fried chicken which was fried & flavored to perfection; Shrimp Pad Thai had perfect sweetness & shrimp was great texture. Curry noodle soup was so flavorful! Sea bass soft & delicious. The owners were so sweet & welcoming. The chef was so sweet, you will love her!!! Very authentic Thai restaurant. You won't forget your experience here. Go!!View more
Feels more like a bar than a restaurant, with a hint of stale beer lingering & dim lighting that made it hard to see. I had to use my phone's flashlight to read the menu. We were excited to try this Thai pub, but the main dishes-chicken curry & pork belly-At $25 & $28, were pricey for what came as small portions & nothing particularly memorable. No ustensiles served we had to dig into a pot on the table to find forks & spoon ( no knifes). Luckily, the tapas section saved the night As we were still starving we ordered Satays & a Poutine: At $10, they offered similar portion sizes without the rice & cucomber slices & were much better value. Drinks were also well-priced & a good deal. Overall, I'd say skip the mains, go for drinks & tapas instead!View more
Nice patio during the summer on the corner of Saint-Denis & Duluth. Tapas-style is great : highly recommend the shrimp wontons & the pork belly, but I wouldn't expect to have a big dinner here. For example, the pad thai was bland, & the papaya salad was quite watery. Otherwise, the cocktails were delish, & I enjoy coming here for a quick snack / little bites.View more
Super authentic Thai food!! Hard to find such good Thai food in MTL!!View more
Very, very mediocre. Every dish was just okay. Apple papaya salad had enormous chunks of apple. Pad thai had almost no noodles?! Chicken massaman was two chicken legs with two rock hard slices of potato. Yikes. It's a cute patio for a drink but the food just isn't it.View more
View more
Meilleur restaurent Thaï de Montréal. Vraiment authentique, délicieux, service impeccable, lieu chaleureux. View more
Pad thai sauce was sour & tasted like salad dressing, also had thin glass noodles rather than thick pad thai noodles. Portions are very small for the price.View more
