Good vib music, drinks & wine, & small 8oz beers.View more
Visited this Thai restaurant on Sunday night, Parking was a hassle, & when we arrived at 8:00 PM, the place was empty, which almost made us leave. But we decided to stay & try it out.
We ordered fried pork belly, beef, & fried chicken salad. The pork belly was great, crispy with a tangy dipping sauce. The beef & chicken salad were not bad, both sweet & spicy but tasted pretty similar.
We also tried the mango sticky rice, which was very sweet - sweeter than what I had in Bangkok, with a lot of condensed milk. It seems this place leans toward a sweeter flavor profile.
The place feels more like a bar than a restaurant, with smaller portions that are better for sharing & having drinks. The inside had an odd smell, like it needed some maintenance, maybe sitting outside would be better?
Not bad for a quick bite & drinks.View more
Usually you can't go wrong with Thai food ... but the papaya salad had a very strong fishy taste (beyond just the usual fish sauce), perhaps too many dried shrimps in it. We had meatballs, sausage, fried rice & the chicken satay skewers. Not too bad, but some of the dishes were salty.
Service was okay, nothing exceptional. But most upsetting is the non-compliance to the new Bill 72. The 15% tipping option was off the bottom line & not the'before tax'. Only realized after we walked out from looking at the bill because you barely have time to check the pinpad while its waiting for the payment card to be tapped. Had high expectations, but likely not returning.View more
Came here for MTL a table, nice menu. Pad Thai - decent! Crispy pork belly - great but the star was the sauce for this. Homemade sausage - okay. Papaya salad was tough & under seasoned. Century egg with mango was delish but also under seasoned. Would come back.View more
Nice patio during the summer on the corner of Saint-Denis & Duluth. Tapas-style is great : highly recommend the shrimp wontons & the pork belly, but I wouldn't expect to have a big dinner here. For example, the pad thai was bland, & the papaya salad was quite watery. Otherwise, the cocktails were delish, & I enjoy coming here for a quick snack / little bites.View more
Very, very mediocre. Every dish was just okay. Apple papaya salad had enormous chunks of apple. Pad thai had almost no noodles?! Chicken massaman was two chicken legs with two rock hard slices of potato. Yikes. It's a cute patio for a drink but the food just isn't it.View more
We were a table of 6, & they messed up 3 out of the 6 dishes. Not removing the shrimp from the papaya salad & giving it to a vegetarian, not bringing the tofu until the end of the meal even though it was asked for 4 times. The market fish was not worth the price. There was & insane amount of cartilage in the Chicken masasama, & the over all opinion was that it was tasteless, no flavor, & will not come back again.View more
Pad thai sauce was sour & tasted like salad dressing, also had thin glass noodles rather than thick pad thai noodles. Portions are very small for the price.View more
Merci, & bonne chance.View more
