There are dishes I keep coming back to, like the excellent cumin beef, the spicy shrimps, the kung pao chicken & mapo tofu. In the past, everything was consistently delicious. But in the past two years or so, it has changed a bit. The grilled calamari, which used to be one of their best dishes, is now a total disappointment & has nothing to do with what it used to be. The last time we went, the mapo tofu was bland & uninteresting, while it was exceptional the time before that. My son chose the Singapour noodles, because he's used to eating them at home & he likes to eat what he knows. Frankly, they were barely edible; they were oversalted & bland & the noodles were way overcooked. We know that it's not an authentic Chinese dish & a little more on the bland side, but there still is the possibility to cook a nice version of it. So all in all, I used to be very confident in the dishes I ordered at Aunt Dai, but now, when I go, I'm always a bit worried that the dishes I order won't be as good as usual. Some effort should be put in making sure the different cooks deliver the same flavors.
great food, great service. i strongly recommend this restaurant as it is one of the few who offer authentic & organic food
