Our beloved chef Germano Mustone has a wealth of knowledge in the culinary industry.
After quite some time as a New York pizza chef,
Germano was on a mission to give the West Island a taste of Italy with a touch of New York. He insists on fresh, cut to order ingredients, with specially imported authentic Italian sauce and lots of love! Germano and staff want to take the opportunity to thank the community for supporting our business.
Reviews describe Cugini's Pizza as consistently outstanding pizza crafted with care, featuring a deeply flavorful dough and fresh high quality ingredients across a range from New York style to Grandma square pies. Signature pizzas such as Cup and Char, Margherita, Americano, and Nonna are praised, along with popular extras like garlic knots, hot honey, and cannoli. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with attentive staff and a passionately involved owner that gives the place old world charm, making dine in and takeout equally enjoyable. While some notes mention higher prices and occasional wait times, the overall consensus is that the pizza is among the best in the West Island or Montreal, offering a true Italian culinary experience rather than a quick slice.
Thankfully the ambiance is nice because when they forget about your order & you're left to wait for an hour before asking them politely what is happening & suddenly they wake up panicking... well. At least the pizza is good.
What can I say about Cugini's? Their pizza of all kinds are excellent. The dough, the cheese, tomato sauce is of the highest quality - & you can taste it. I bring friends here often & it never disappoints. I strongly recommend the Cup & Char, as well as the cheese, & the Nonna. The cannolis are also very fresh & delicious.

Need to visit this place for exceptional authentic Italian pizza. A true taste of Italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹 Staff is amazing & greet you with a warm smile at all times. Germano you are awesome.
Location: On the West Island. They have a small parking lot that could be busy on weekdays.
The place: This is more of a take-out spot but they do have a few tables if you want to dine in. As someone who's been documenting street art for a while now, I love that Stikki Peaches left his mark on the place (including in the toilettes, where you'll find a paste-up designed by his kid, Stella). Good music, chill vibes.
The goods: If I'm honest, I was keen to try the Stikki Pizza before it disappears in mid-November 😄. My friend ordered the West Island, I think. I have nothing negative to say about their pizza - it's delicious! The crust is thin but perfect (not hard or chewy - just... good), the pizza sauce is great - not acidic at all, & in my case, the limited edition pizza was amazing. I would have liked a bit more pancetta on it but besides that, YUM! My friend also enjoyed her pizza. We both got a cannoli & it was authentically tasty. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their selections.
Service: The first person who served us was rather indifferent & seemed impatient when my friend couldn't decide what to order. Let's just say that I didn't get friendly vibes. That said, we had a completely different experience with'J' (who doesn't want to be called out) - she is super friendly, chatty & funny & we felt right at home with her.
Price point: It ain't cheap - my pizza was $34 which admittedly, is steep for a 12' pizza. That said, you're getting a freshly-made pie with what seemed to be fresh ingredients so I think it's OK to treat yourself once in a while, eh?
I recommend this place (& I vote for the permanent addition of the Stikki pizza to the menu!).

When we first walked into Cugini's we were welcomed wholeheartedly & the owner assured us that he could make any pizza we wanted into a foccacia bread pizza. This was our best decision of the night as the anchovie pizza on foccacia was amazing. Not to mention the garlic knots were also outstanding. The hot honey is also a must (amazing to find a hot honey that actually has spice). A little on the pricy side for pizza but if you're willing to splurge a bit it is well worth it
Best pizza in the West Island. Thin crust with a great crunch. The staff there is always very friendly & cheerful. Thandie & the rest of the staff went out of her way to ensure we were happy. Would definitely go back.

We had heard great things about the food so we thought we'd try. I'll agree that the food is absolutely delicious & the service is great too. However, I've never seen pizza sold at this price point before. We usually opt for pizza when we're looking for a yummy cheap option. I'm not sure how they justify the price. We paid 90$ for one large pizza & 6 garlic twist appetizers. There are many quality pizza places around that are more affordable. We left feeling guilty for having spent that much on one pizza & a little cheated. For us this was a one time luxury. $$$
Great pizza! The crust was perfectly baked & the toppings well balanced. A solid pizza with great taste & fresh ingredients. The dough is light & crispy. This is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic pizza.

Great pizza. Thin crust no flop. This was the best pizza I have had in possibly ever. Ordered 3 cheese + pepperoni. New location is beautiful. Lots of seating. Great service.
Food was really nice. Good wood fire taste. Traveled well but they forgot my cannoli & I only realized when I got home live in St Lazare so.couldnt go back. But food was very tasty
