Our beloved chef Germano Mustone has a wealth of knowledge in the culinary industry.
After quite some time as a New York pizza chef,
Germano was on a mission to give the West Island a taste of Italy with a touch of New York. He insists on fresh, cut to order ingredients, with specially imported authentic Italian sauce and lots of love! Germano and staff want to take the opportunity to thank the community for supporting our business.
Overall, reviews describe Cugini's Pizza as delivering authentic Italian pizza with fresh ingredients, a twenty-four-hour dough, and a thin, crisp crust that many consider among the best in the West Island and Montreal. The flavors and toppings are praised across specialties, with guests noting generous portions, vibrant tomato sauce, and fragrant basil. The experience is highlighted by friendly, attentive staff and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes customers feel like family. Some comments mention occasional wait times or higher prices, but most agree the quality and care justify the cost. Takeout and dine-in are both popular, with many appreciating house-made sauces, garlic knots, cannoli, and the option to bring the flavors home.
We've loved Cugini's for years & have been going since it first opened on Elm. The pizza, while a bit pricey, is consistently fresh & absolutely delicious - truly some of the best around. Service has also generally been good, which is why this experience was so disappointing.
Tonight, my grandmother went to pick up pizza on a very cold evening & brought her dog with her. After picking up the order, her car wouldn't start. The roadside assistance company told her it could take 1-2 hours to help her. Cold & understandably distressed, she went back inside to ask if she could sit quietly in a corner with her dog just until I could get there (20 minutes max) so she wouldn't freeze. She fully understood that animals aren't usually allowed & wasn't looking to stay long.
Disappointingly, the owners said no. One of the employees kindly offered to let my grandmother sit in her own car while I was on my way to pick her up - & we're very grateful for that act of compassion.
While I understand policies exist, the situation left us feeling that a bit more empathy could have gone a long way, especially given the circumstances. This experience has made us second-guess returning, which is really disappointing because we've always thought of Cugini's as a warm, community-oriented place.

We were originally scheduled to eat at the restaurant but plan changed, we changed to takeout. It was a huge success & we were 10 people, we ordered 5 Arugula Salads which were delicious accompanied with margarita, pepperoni, vegetarian, blanco pizzas. Consensus was incredible.
I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The owner of the restaurant is a very rude & ill-mannered man, & the restaurant employee delivered my order cold after 20 minutes.
Absolutely fantastic! First time trying this place ! The pizza was delicious… we got the Americano & the west islander. They also provided us with some spicy oils & flavored honey, really nice of them.
The staff is super friendly, & the place is spotless !
First time but definitely not the last, keep up the great work. I will be back soon & often :)

Best pizza ever tasted! From the salad to the dessert, everything was so tasty! Great service. The chef was so nice & welcoming. Definitely recommend this place.
Great authentic pizza. Expensive but worth it. A lot of clients do takeout, I guess to have a warmer atmosphere at home & maybe have a salad -? Just pizza on the menu.
