Dec 2025 update:
Coffee is here is trash & I waited 15 min for a breakfast sandwich (human error by dude in the kitchen)
I won't be going back.
Also, BOSSA sandwiches are superior IMO
The bread used for the panini is particularly good. The porchetta & chicken cutlet are my favorites. Price for portion is solid & the toppings are quality. Good service & nice interior. Love stopping here omw home before getting in the metro to bring home a panino for dinner.
Heard great things about this sandwich spot. Went in for a quick lunch to go. Got the chicken cutlet sandwich, arancini, & a Caesar salad. Service was friendly, but it took over 15 mins to get my order to go. After 7-8 mins, I gently mentioned the wait, & it still took rough that much more time to finally receive it. Given the many options for a good fast sandwich in the west, that was quite a let down.
The food itself: the sandwich was good, albeit very noticeably salty. The cutlet was a good size, though the toppings were sparse & The provolone quite bland (while aware that provolone itself is a mild cheese). The arancini was lacklustre. All the said, the Caesar was surprisingly well made with a crispy lettuce, flavourful sauce, prosciutto cotto bits, generous parmesan shavings & large housemade croutons.
Overall, open to trying it again but not exactly running back anytime soon.
The sandwiches here are the best (open on the Main please!🙏) try the chicken cutlet - you will not be disappointed. Great value for money which is hard to come by these days. Cannolis are always fresh & delicious too. A must if you are in the point!
First time customer & my husband & I really enjoyed ourselves. I had the salami Genoa & he had the chicken cutlet sandwich. Both were delicious. The bread was fantastic, did not get soggy but also not too hard to eat. The coffee is really good as well. Special shout out to the staff who were very nice as well. We will definitely be back.
Need more stars.
Wanted a sandwich. Got a sandwich.
One of the best sandwiches of my life. 2 days after eating this sandwich & I'm still thinking about it.
Next time, I will buy two. I can only eat 1/2 (at best, they're huge). I want two so that my relationship with the chicken cutlet sandwich can be extended beyond a single day.
Had planned to take better photos. But, of course didn't have time.
The sandwiches are the best chicken cutlet is the best & the coffees & desserts are out of this world. You most go
Nice place with a great vibe. The chicken cutlet sandwich is amazing-definitely one of the top sandwiches in the city! Highly recommend.
Great place to grab a bite for lunch with friends The sandwiches are fresh & delicious! The chicken cutlet sandwich is amazing definitely add bomba, eggplants & sundried tomatoes to your sando
One of the best sandwiches I ever had. Must try the chicken cutlet
My first time in their new & bigger location in point Saint Charles. Lovely vibe, happy to see the place full on a Saturday at lunch. Montreal loves this place & I'm happy they are doing well. Longtime fan of mortadella sandwich, but went for the chicken cutlet & was not disappointed. Still fair pricing in 2024 $14 for a nice healthy sandwich is great. They could probably get away with charging three or four dollars more but they don't. Gotta love that.
Cozy coffee shop with cute & stylish art. I enjoy the coffee & I would definitely fallen love with cutlet chicken sandwich
We LOVE this place. Although we were in the neighborhood for an entire month we didn't make it to Clarke Cafe until our final week & we went there every day including a stop on our way out of town to take sandwiches & treats with us on the road. The staff is super friendly, especially the owners, the food is made with the best ingredients & is wonderfully flavorful. Over the course of the few days we went there, we tried alot of the sandwiches; our favorites were definitely the porchetta, chicken cutlet, tuna, & Calabrese. The pastries are also excellent! There was a bit of a wait during lunch time, but not too bad at all. We can't wait to go back to Clarke Cafe the next time we're in town.
2nd update: my sandwich wasn't so great this time, one part of the chicken cutlet was ok the other was severely overcooked & chewy. Kinda sad as the sandwich before was amazing even tho it's kinda expensive Update: service is faster now, some women work there now, sandwiches are fantastic. Coffee/espresso is still the best I've tasted in North America so far! Old review: Very slow, kinda off-putting service but DAMN what a good tasting cup of coffee. I'm not even a coffee connaseur but it's got great flavour. A little pricy but worth the quality, better than a St*rbuks. Hipster bro vibes, for better or worse 😬
Honestly great little sandwich shop. Cashier was okay but not super helpful or nice when i asked questions about toppings etc. Took a while to get the sandwiches but the place was popping so I get it. We did get a table which was lucky. It was full. The bottomline is the food - chicken cutlet with peppers & pickles - absolutely amazing.
