My friends from out of town & I really enjoyed this intimate speakeasy. All the drinks were good. My favorite was the colada with curry based horchata (sounds funny but sooo worth it). The bartender/owner was kind & easy to talk to. Music was also great.Voir plus

This is the peak speakeasy experience & my favorite in all of Montreal. Their specialization in tequila & mezcal is so exceptional that even those that don't enjoy tequila or mezcal will appreciate the menu.
I came here years ago & was blown away by the quality of the cocktail, extensive tequila & mezcal selection, environment, & fantastic service. We come back every summer & always have a great experience - & you will too.

After reading other's comments I had great expectations for their cocktails, it was ok, maybe there wasn't enough mezcal in them? Loved the ambiance especially at the beginning of the evening before the music gets loud.Voir plus

Beautiful bar in old Montreal. Their drink selection was amazing. As a fan of mezcal & tequila, they definitely know how to prepare a drink. The staff was friendly & fun to speak with. I am amazed at the drinks they served; you can tell the amount of preparation & dedication they pour into their menu. Most definitely will come back again on my next trip to Montreal. Le Clandestin is my absolute favorite speakeasy in the Old Port! The decor & ambiance are so dimly lit, mysterious, & intimate-you truly feel like time stops! The selection of tequila & cocktails? Just wow, wow, wow! The service is super professional, & the bartenders are absolutely top-notch. Our first visit at Clandestino was nothing short of stellar. There was clearly attention to service. We ordered a Mezcal flight, & we went on a tasting trip even if we weren't connoisseurs; the barman/owner came over & explained each Mezcal we tasted with enough detail to tickle our curiosity.
