Best collection of independent films in Montreal. I love coming here spontaneously to see whatever is showing.

Great beers on top, pretty good coffee, I always grab a big bowl of popcorn.

Be on time to the film, they're not so accommodating for late arrivals. The film starts immediately, no commercials.

Best rows are the two farthest back (F & G). Even the middle rows you still look up a bit at the screen.

Be aware of the language designations:

VOA - English audio, no captions
VOF - French audio, no captions
VOSTA - original audio, English captions
VOSTF - original audio, French captions

J'aimerais venir à cinema moderne pour une première fois mais par contre il a toujours pas de films que je recherche. J'aimerais demander aux gestionnaires d'afficher des films chinois version cantonais. À mon avis, pour aller chercher les nouveaux clients, & pour cinema moderne soit le cinema avec la spécialité des films du monde : il serait important aussi de diversifier les actress langues. J'espère que l'administration retient compte de mon avis. Je mets pour l'instant 3 étoiles. Par contre lorsque j'aurai la chance de vivre une première experience je vais propablement soit modifier cette avis ou ajouter un autre avis. Merci à l'équipe.

C'est une salle pour 60 personnes pas plus. Ambiance intello. Pas une place pour ados sauf s'ils cherchent un film qui ne sera jamais sur d'autres écrans.
C'est ainsi que nous avons eu la chance de voir No Other Land, un film magnifique qui décrit méticuleusement les plans de déportation de population dans le cadre de nettoyage éthique.

A technically solid cinema for sound & projection. Great selection of drinks & snacks. Nice staff. Reasonable prices. Fantastic programming. Seats...not so much... Difficult sitting more than 90 min But worth going

je ne compte plus les soirées passées au cinéma moderne! une programmation excellente, une petite salle de projection chaleureuse & de grande qualité où l'on peut déguster des boissons en tout genre souvent faites maisons!
