Established in 2019, their business specializes in a popular Korean street food – Korean rice dog, that will include rice flour batter wrapped hot dogs, spicy sausages, all mozzarella rice dog and an option that’s half hot dog and half mozzarella cheese. The batter-dipped sticks are coated with optional toppings, from diced potato to breadcrumbs, and freshly fried on the spot.
Chungchun Kogo Coreen is widely praised for its tasty Korean corn dogs with a crispy, flavorful twist and a diverse menu that blends savory and sweet options. Reviewers highlight warm, friendly staff, quick service, and a cozy, affordable vibe, making it a go-to spot for a quick, satisfying bite in Montreal. Many diners call the kogo the best in Montreal and enjoy the sides, sauces, and creative fillings, while some note consistency and occasional hiccups with quality or lines, especially when crowds are heavy. While the place is small and not a sit-down restaurant, the atmosphere and value keep people returning, though a few comments point to recent dips in texture like soggy batter or slower service on busy days.
We've been ordering here for years now, the corn dogs taste amazing consistently. We used to order 1x sauce then 3x seasoning even just few days ago. However, I guess starting today they only allow 1 seasoning. It sucks because the seasoning is the best part of the corn dogs. Sad times 🥲
Had a great experience here, great tasting food!! Some of the nicest staff I've met, very warm & friendly, you're guaranteed to have a good experience!!
Beautiful food & beautiful people, everything tasted amazing & all the workers were super nice to our group, especially Alice! Definitely get their choco kogo as dessert!
I've never tried corndogs before, these were good! I wasn't sure what sauce to pick, but got a good recommendation from the person working there, very nice!

I came here 9/30/25, around 5:20pm. The person was working alone at the time. She had to take orders, make them, & hand them out. It was getting busy, but she still kept cool & was super nice! Kuddos to this person! The food was great at a reasonable price.
I've been going here since they first open this downtown location (I believe during Covid) & the line up was always down the street! Corndogs were always hot & fresh made to order, over the years not sure what happened but if you go now (2025) no lineup, & maybe one or two workers (used to be 6-7 in the kitchen) I feel the quality took a turn. The last 2 times I've been it was only 1 worker (staff is always kind & friendly) but the corndogs tasted soggy (it's made to order) but not the usual crispy dog - like the batter needed more time in the fryer. If I do go back I would just mention this & have them fry it for 2 more mins. Otherwise I've always enjoyed this place.
