via LibroIt was our first time going to Chimaek. The restaurant is super nice with such a great ambiance. The staff was incredibly kind. The food is absolutely fantastic. Will be returning to try out other items on the menu!

From the reservation (we couldn't book for 6 people online through Libro but got a confirmation later as well as on Instagram), to the reception (got seated before our reservation), to the service (many waiters/waitresses attended us, to the quality of the food (very hot, crispy & flavorful). It was the first time for all my friends & they were all impressed with the restaurant. We would definitely come back again!

The food was amazing & had a very good value. Unfortunately we had possibly the worst table in the restaurant. It was a small table for two but in the middle of high traffic. At some point, a customer knocked the ladle of our pot (it was pretty cramped). We the establishment felt a bit understaffed because we had to remind the waiter of one of our order.
Overall, the food really did it for us & it was of great value.

This is real, authentic Korean food, but not the stuff that you typically get. It's not really fusion, but they really don't have Bulgogi or Galbi. They have a lot more off the beaten path menu items. Our waitress seem to be fresh off the boat from Korea, which made for a very cool vibe.Voir plus

The food was really good, & the servers were super nice. They accommodated us when we wanted to add one more person :) Unfortunately, for take-out, they gave us carton bowls & said that we could put soup inside. On my way home, the soup PIERCED THROUGH the bowl (like a very big hole lol) & leaked in the bag, so the bag suddenly ripped & everything inside fell on the ground. We kept the fried chicken, but we had to throw out the soup because it was pouring out of the bowl like a waterfall lmao. I actually think the situation is funny, but I recommend you ask for plastic cups/bowls if you want to take the rest of the soup home hahaVoir plus

We had the honey chicken & the cajun cream chicken. It was very tasty, & the staff was very courteous. Nothing more satisfying than to crunch into a fried chicken drumstick with a variety of sauces to dip in.

Super cute location, service was nice. As for the fried chicken, we had the Original & the spicy one(angry bird). The chicken was crispy outside & super tender/ juicy inside but the flavor did not give what they were suppose to give. Why is the Original sweet? We were confused... For 2 sec, we were like maybe it's the Honey butter they serve us?... It was way too sweet after 2 pieces you are over it.
The spicy one wasn't spicy at all...Disappointment... it tasted more like BBQ sauce somehow
As side, we had the conch salad it was tasty & Spicyyyyy but I wish there were more conch in there tbh.

The portions are huge & the vibe is def there, super busy on a Friday night too. So many choices of delicious sounding friend chicken options. The chicken is juicy & cooked to perfection but the flavour was just not there. The honey butter tasted mostly like garlic & some weren’t even coated in flavour so I was just plain fried chicken. The Cajun cheese flavour was good too but I just wish it was coated with more of it. Service was great & the refillable pickled radish side dish was a great pair with the chicken.Voir plus
