Food was fresh & tasty for a really good price. Lots of options on the menu for both meat & seafood, will definitely give it another go to try more stuff.
Looked for a real mexican restaurant in Montreal for years, & I can now say that Chillanga is THE BEST Mexican restaurant in Montreal
I got beef & mushroom tacos, they were pretty good, a lot of food for a great price. Waiters were great & attentive. I definitely will be back next time I come to Montreal.
I had chicken tacos, guacamole , just for $12, best price & enough quantity to get you full. Loved it
As someone who appreciates authentic Mexican cuisine & has spent considerable time exploring the culinary scene in Mexico City & its surrounding areas, I can confidently say that the flavors here are truly genuine. From the rich beans to the fresh salsa, each dish brings a taste of Mexico to the table. The Birria is tender & flavourful, & the fresh cilantro adds a refreshing note to every bite (Emphasis on Fresh as a lot of restaurants do not nail this very important detail). The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the location on St. Catherine in Montreal. Portions are just right, & the service is prompt & friendly, making for a satisfying dining experience.
Délicieux, l'ambiance ok. Service rapide. Belle alternative aux autres enseigne de restauration rapide.
The 5 star is for the most delicious michelada of all time ( didnt taste the food tho)!
I've eaten at Mexican restaurants all over, this place wasn't good. The tacos tasted bland & dry, & no matter how much lime I squeezed onto it, it did not make it taste any better. The tacos were expensive! You would think for the price, they would taste good. The chips for the guacamole were burnt, & had no flavor. The churros we got for dessert barely had any sugar on it, & tasted like sourdough bread. A Chipotle has better food than this restaurant. Service was super slow, had to wave down someone anytime I wanted something (they were all talking at the front).
Nobody in the terrace when we arrived (post lunch rush). So we moved two tables together to avoid the harsh sun. The waiter was upset & told us off. We pointed out that there was nobody else there & we were 6 people. For the rest of the lunch the waiter was rude & avoided our table, even though the restaurant was EMPTY. The food is also mediocre.
Wide variety of authentic dishes at affordable prices. Beer tower (3 liters) for $40 is a great deal! It's never empty & there's a reason for it, best mexican food in the neighborhood.
Hier, nous sommes allés à manger tacos, délicieux! Mais on a demandé une deuxième fois tacos & ça a pris tellement de temps que quand les tacos sont arrivés qu'on avait plus faim. Dommage.
Everything was delicious, I'm a big fan of Cochinita Pibil tacos & I got to say the tacos were on point I found that I could have just ordered Cochinita they were good enough for my satisfaction. They also use double tortillas for each taco you order, so you can make 2 tacos with the amount of meat. The Hibiscus jug is worth the price also!
