Review Summary

Chicho's is widely praised for authentic Peruvian cuisine in Montreal, with diners calling the food amazing, portions generous, and the service consistently attentive. The ceviche mixte and seafood soup are repeatedly highlighted as fresh and tasty, while the breakfast option is described as among the best. The dining room is described as cozy and the staff as friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Many reviews mention that the flavors convey true sazón criolla and deliver a genuine Peruvian taste for visitors from elsewhere as well as locals. Popular dishes such as ceviche, marina mixta, pan con chicharron, and mero del macho, along with strong drinks and sauces, are frequently recommended. The space can be small and lively, with music that is sometimes a bit loud, but the overall experience remains positive and worth returning for. Overall, Chicho's stands out as one of the top Peruvian spots in Montreal with repeat visits and broad recommendations.

Best peruvian food I have found in Montreal, the Sopa a la minuta is as close as a grandma's meal as it gets & the flavor of the Lomo Saltado is one of the best I have tried ever including from Peru. If you are a peruvian like me & missing food from home, this is the place to go! Authentic, homemade & simply delicious. I was not a big fan of the seafood (it still tasted good!) but that's okay since its really hard & almost impossible to get that right in this country 🤣 but i certainly loved the flavor of it (we ordered the big fuente to share) We'll be coming back to try the picarones & pollo a la brasa during the weekends! P.s The portions are big so make sure you are sharing with someone!

Food was pretty decent although I've had better renditions of each dish elsewhere around MTL. For the price it was a little underwhelming. Service was attentive enough, & friendly. It's definitely worth giving a shot. Their breakfast especially looks particularly good & their weekend specials might be better. They seem to have quite a bit of variety on offer.

Excellente nourriture & excellent service! Bravo! On y retournera.

I am always happy when I eat at Chicho's. The food is amazingly good, & I've been to many other latin american places. He doesn't make you wait long for your food, the portions are generous(two can share a plate). Yes some plates may be a little pricey but for the fast service & portions you get it's worth every penny.

cebiche, lomo saltado, tallarin saltado, arroz con mariscos, pescado frito, parihuela.
