Was really excited to try Chez Claudette. Heard great things. Unfortunately, the poutine didn't hit right for me. The texture of the gravy was very unusual. Super viscous consistency that kind of ruined it for me. Was my first poutine in Montreal so maybe that's how they like it out there? Either way, not my favorite. On the plus side, the staff was very nice.

Le restaurant est vraiment surévalué. J'ai été servie par une nouvelle employée qui est la personne la plus désagréable que j'ai rencontrée au Canada (ce qui est rare). C'est dommage, car la gérante, Marie, a su rétablir l'équilibre. Malgré tout, je ne peux pas donner plus d'étoiles. Les poutines sont correctes pour le prix. Elles sont loin d'être les meilleures, contrairement à ce que j'ai pu lire sur certains sites. La salle & la décoration sont correctes, sans plus.

Chez Claudette vous entrez dans une institution du Plateau. C'est gras, c'est salé, & c'est généreux. Le personnel est chaleureux voir réconfortant & vous avez le choix de 43 poutines différentes sans oublier le menu casse-croûte. Le menu déjeuner est classique & hautement efficace (service jusqu'à 15h du vendredi au dimanche).

The OG poutine place. Their full menu is something like 30 types of different poutine. Basic but straight to the point. My chicken was dry though.
