Been coming here for years & Claudette never disappoints. No frills casse croute with amazing & friendly staff, good vibe, & delicious poutine. One of the best poutines in the city!

I have eaten here many many times & would highly recommend. I usually get the Jardiniere. The fries are great & the sauce is excellent - not too salty. Good amount of veggies as well. Portion size is good & the price point is very affordable. The decor indoors is particular, but the staff is very friendly.

Had the steamies combo with the baby poutine. Poutine was decent, fries had crispy edges & the curds were good, nice & squeaky. The gravy was alright, thick but lacking flavor. All-dressed steamies tasted great, but the bread wasn't really steamed, it was still a bit dry.

Service was great.

No frills local spot with a large poutine menu. We enjoyed the smoked meat & tandoori poutines - even a petite portion is worth sharing between two. Service is warm & friendly. The ambiance is alright, could do a better job in creating in an inviting atmosphere.

This place was my favorite poutine place of all time. The fries tasted fresh & the gravy tasted really deep & special. The cheese was good & squeaky & the toppings were great.

I went for a poutine at lunchtime. The fries are perfect but it stops there. The cheese is refrigerated & not fresh so it melts & really affects the flavour & texture. The gravy has a nice thick feel but it fell a bit flat on flavour.
The place is an institution & I bet other food is delicious. It's just not the spot if you're looking for the best poutine in the city.

Chez Claudette was recommended by a local friend when we asked the best place to try an authentic poutine while travelling the city. It did not disappoint! The selection of poutines were diverse & all sounded delicious. The poutines themselves had delicious cheese curds with a delightful squeak, the gravy was perfectly savoury, & the fries were perfectly salted & crisp. The staff were also very accommodating with our limited French skills. I would highly recommend Chez Claudette.
