I saw a 3.9 rating & thought Google had a glitch on this… been going to this place for at least 20 years (now I feel too old for saying this 😅), service is always amazing, staff always on point, in fact when you go there it not only feels like home it is home… food is delicious whether you're in for fish or meats, or snack (desserts send you immediately to heaven 🤤, go for the fondant trust me), owner always pleasant, Daniel the manager a real character & entertainer, always fun to talk to. Used to go there with my dad as a child, now bringing my own family a little less than I would like to due to living in a different area, but always a great experience.
J'ai adoré mon expérience, mon amie ne savait que je lui offrait un diner de fête chez vous. Elle a été surprise d'avoir la présence
de Monsieur Alexandre pour lui souhaité Bonne fête en personne.
La petite musique lui souhaitant aussi Bonne Fête.
La bougie sur un morceau de gâteau était le classiquee même de tous les restaurants mais toujours apprécié de la fêtée.
Je recommanderais bien votre resrtaurant à mes autres amies & amis, mais ils n'ont pas tous les moyens de se payer cette petite gâterie.

Bastien, our waiter & ever so qualified advisor on food & wine was just superb! The food was exquisite & the ambiance very French & bistro inviting. We will return!

Very delicious French cuisine. The affable owner Alain came by the table & made dinner all the more special & enjoyable. Highly recommend, & we will be back again when we are back in Montreal.
Amazing food. Unbelievably good service. Had Bastien as a server, he was fantastic. I ordered the Steak tartare - highly recommend. Love this place & will be back.

Incredible service & food. One of the owners came by to give samples & let me taste the beef tartare to ensure it was spiced the way I liked, he was also super funny. I ate in the pub upstairs & it had a fantastic atmosphere, the dining area on the lower floor also looked really good.
We reserved table online however when we arrived, the reception insisted not seeing our reservation without checking. The restaurant open until 2AM, we arrived around 11PM, we were told that we must order everything within 5 mins while it is last order.
The food itself is good, I like the foie gras very much, the champagne is good too. However the service the we are getting in the reception is not good at all.
Cali & Alain étaient notre serveuse & serveur. Quel beau souper! La nourriture était délicieuse! L'atmosphère extraordinaire & relaxante. Cali & Alain étaient très observants. Ils nous ont suggéré des plats spectaculaires! La présentation des plats était d'haute niveau. Merci beaucoup de nous avoir donnée une soirée inoubliable. C'était au delà de nos attentes! Nous serons de retour bientôt!
We were looking for an authentic French bistro in Montreal, & Chez Alexandre was recommended to us. We decided to give it a try, & it truly was an incredible experience! My wife & I enjoyed a wonderful steak au poivre, paired with an exceptional wine & delicious fries. For starters, we had a spectacular soup of the day. To finish, we ordered the Profiterole with chocolate sauce, which was absolutely perfect. The service was impeccable as well. We were served by Bastien, who made the experience even more special. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to feel a little piece of France-a charming Parisian bistro in the heart of Montreal.
My first time here after walking by to meet my wife. We were supposed to go to Paris for Christmas but my wife's passport got caught up in the strike. Well, Paris came to us here! What a lovely place! Our server, Bastien, was phenomenal. His wine knowledge is fantastic. The owner came by to say hello. My wife had a salad Nicoise , which she loved. I had a smoked salmon starter & a lovely duck breast for a main course. Both were excellent. Bastien started me off with a sparkling rose followed by a sauvignon blanc semillon & a red with the duck. I highly recommend this spot!
