Chenoy's is described as a classic Montreal smoked meat deli with a nostalgic old school vibe, where generous portions, a reliable smoked meat experience, and friendly service meet in a setting felt to be timeless and comfortable for groups and families, with ample parking and approachable prices. Many reviews praise the juicy, well seasoned smoked meat, big plates, and a menu that has something for everyone, along with solid breakfast options and a welcoming interior that evokes a true Montreal deli atmosphere. The interior is repeatedly praised as charming and nostalgic, while the service is often highlighted as attentive and helpful. Some feedback notes inconsistencies, including lean cuts with little flavor, fries that are underwhelming, and desserts like cheesecake that can be dry, as well as occasional delays or communication gaps. Overall, Chenoy's remains a West Island staple for those seeking the classic deli experience and a sense of tradition, backed by loyal regulars who keep returning despite the occasional flaw.
Excellent milkshakes, thick & creamy.
Fries were delicious, burger was pretty good too. Service was great as well.
*Updated #2 I enjoyed my dinner so much last time I came back this week, I ordered a grilled chicken it was juicy & perfectly cooked, the bun however was overcooked. I also asked for cheese to be added to my chicken burger there was a charge of $3 for 1 piece of cheese. This time the fries were frozen kind, not good at all. Not sure how the fries can change from week to week Disappointed cause they were really good last time. Once again the service was great.
This restaurant does feel like it's stuck in a time warp, nothing has changed over the years except the prices. Needs an update, & I found it a bit dingy too. Bathrooms are the worst extremely small - broken down - no handicap washroom either.

Was there tonight for the first & last time. Our waitress Levera needs an attitude adjustment. If she doesn’t like her job she should quit instead of taking it out on customers.
Lovely service staff & food. Do yourself a favour. Just camp out for a day & eat as much as you can. Then have a friend wheel you away while giving tummy rubs.

Hello i wanted to mention how amazing the staff is very pleasant & very hospitable. Great service last week we were served by Lavira wonderful server also.
We hadn’t been to Chenoy’s in a couple
of years. The food (especially the old fashioned smoked meat)was as good as ever. The service was exceptional. Our server,Lavera did everything but cartwheels to make sure we had a good dining experience.
We would return for the food,of course but being served by Lavera again would be the cherry on Chenoy’s amazing cheesecake.
Resto qui a besoin de rénovations. 2 toilettes sur 3 inscrit défectueuses. La 3 e porte qui ne barre pas puis un récipient par terre pour recueillir une fuite de la plomberie. La nourriture était correcte
First let me start off with : I know now why all Chenoy's have slowly closed everywhere.Walked in on a Friday late afternoon into a morgue. Was seating & preceded to order a "Jumbo" old fashioned smoked meat plate at $19.99.The drinks & fries came first then the punchline of a joke came. The sandwich i got didn't even resemble a regular size , i took a pic. When i put the rye bread on the meat & held it , it had about 1 inch of meat.I've never complained about food in my life but this was just straight mocking the customer to my face.I called over the waitress & asked: "Does this look like a "Jumbo" sandwich ?" I said "What does the regular sandwich look like?"She has the audacity to say "Smaller than that".I took the picture & got up & walked out of that miserable place.Mocking your customers will only close the place down faster , which i hope it does & therefore put it out of its misery.Went to La Belle Province & had 2 bigger sandwiches for $3.00 more ($23)Mark my words this place will follow in the footsteps of the other Chenoy's .....Don't waste your time or money.
