I called to place an order 20 minutes before closing, & the person on the phone , only to be met with a vicious, unprovoked verbal assault as if I had committed a crime by calling during their posted hours. If you don't want to serve customers that close to closing, just say'no' upfront don't say'yes,' take my info, & then unleash a torrent of insults, & degradation on me for simply trying to give you my business. There is absolutely no excuse for that level of unprofessionalism & cruelty, especially when you are still open unt. Save your money & your dignityorder from literally anywhere else, because this place clearly has zero respect for basic human decency & management evidently doesn't care one bit. I will never return, & I strongly urge everyone else to stay far away.
I had a poor experience here & left an honest 1-star review. Next day, the owner called me 5 times from a'No Caller ID' number. During those calls, they used threatening language & verbally berated me for my review. I have not answered further calls & have reported this harassment to the appropriate platforms.
I would caution anyone dining here to be aware of how this business treats customers who leave honest feedback. Completely unprofessional & unacceptable behavior.

I love this place! The food is so good & fresh. Their desserts are so amazing & guilt free. I think it was the chocolate pecan cookies that I got & they were so good & soft, without all the artificial ingredients. Great service too, I highly recommend!
I had the vegan hotdog that came with the quinoa salad & a matcha.
The hotdog was way too big & I didn't enjoy the taste, the quinoa salad however was amazing & fresh.
Matcha was absolutely disgusting, I could tell that it wouldn't taste right just by looking at the colour.
The space is clean but the service was very slow & only when it was my turn to pay they informed me that the hotdog is actually more expensive than what they stated on the menu because they've changed it.
I love love love Veganessa! The food is delicious, health-conscious & inclusive. I'm super lucky that it's in my neck of the woods. Can't recommend it enough!
This was a very nice place to have lunch! I had the Curry soup & it was delicious, complex flavors, perfectly cook vegetables, a little kick & appetizing to the eyes. The owner took time to chat with us & was very kind. Definitely recommended this place for the good food & atmosphere 👌
Just finished eating at Chef Veganessa Inc for the first time. I had read many reviews before coming, so I expected it to be good, but the reality surpassed even my expectations.
From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the owner, Alex. As it turns out, we all grew up in the West Island around many of the same places, so it was a wonderful bit of nostalgia sharing stories & talking about people we knew growing up. That conversation set such a positive tone for the entire meal.
Alex recommended that I try the chilli, & I am very glad I took his advice. The flavour profile was excellent, rich, balanced, & deeply satisfying. The guacamole was also fantastic, fresh, flavourful, & paired perfectly with the chips, which added a nice bit of crunch to every bite.
My friend ordered the laksa curry, & it looked absolutely incredible. Having spent a great deal of time in Malaysia, I have a real appreciation for a good laksa, & seeing this beloved dish recreated so successfully in a vegan & gluten-free format was genuinely impressive. It was rich, vibrant, & clearly prepared with care.
The atmosphere is another highlight. The space feels relaxed, welcoming, & comfortable, & you immediately feel at home. A big part of that comes from Alex himself, whose kindness & genuine hospitality shine through in every interaction.
All in all, this is a wonderful restaurant that I hope to visit a few more times before I leave Montreal next month & head back to Asia. My sincere thanks to Alex & everyone at Chef Veganessa Inc for the care, passion, & warmth they bring to what they do.
