Very rare to find some good desi chai &/or desi snack type spots in montreal. Overall I must say it's a great business with a very good menu. Uncle Bajwa is amazing, will definitely return to try all the other great things on their menu.
I had such a great experience at Chai Paratha Montreal! The ambiance instantly gave me full desi café vibes - the colourful décor, the hanging plants, the wooden crates, & those traditional kulhad cups made it feel so authentic & cozy.
We ordered their Alloo & paneer parathas, & honestly… SO good! Fresh, flavourful, crispy, & served with butter that just melts perfectly - pura ghar-wala taste 😍.
The place is super aesthetic too, perfect for pictures with the neon sign & warm lighting. Staff was friendly, service was good, & the vibes were immaculate.
Best desi spot in Montreal with that true Lahori touch! The chai, prathas, halwah poori, & homely taste instantly remind you of Pakistan. Salman bhai & his father treat every guest like family, their warmth & hospitality make the experience unforgettable. Feels just like home, with love in every sip & bite.
Aloo Paratha was made fresh to order & deliciously flavourful.... & spicy. While I absolutely love chai, I don't believe I've had Karak chai before & found this style more on the bitter side.
The restaurant is small & can maybe fit about 20-25 people in total.
The only turn off about this visit was that you could hear all the noises coming from the bathroom & the owner decided to do some drilling work during business hours & while diners were enjoying their dinner. A little unprofessional in my opinion. The repairs didn't appear urgent
Found the best desi halal spot in Montreal. Chaye & Aalu paratha the best combo.
Today, I had the pleasure of visiting this remarkable place for a late breakfast & lunch. The chai was rich, perfectly brewed, & carried the authentic Pakistani karak flavour, with just the right balance of sweetness. The chicken paratha was fresh, delicately flaky, & generously filled with tender, well seasoned chicken that complemented the tea beautifully. Together, they evoked the warm, homely essence of a traditional Pakistani breakfast. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking an authentic & satisfying desi culinary experience.
We came all the way from Toronto & wow - Chai Paratha Montréal blew us away! We ordered the lacha paratha with anda piyaz & karak chai, & everything was 10/10. Authentic, home-cooked flavors that instantly reminded us of a proper desi breakfast - crispy, fresh, & full of soul. The prices were super reasonable too, which made it even better. Honestly, nothing in Toronto even comes close to this place. A hidden gem that deserves all the love. Can't wait to come back! 👏
Best Desi food in town
Very reasonable prices
Parathas & chai are super good
Will for sure visit again
The Chicken Tikka Paratha Roll is absolutely amazing-juicy, flavorful chicken wrapped in a soft, perfectly grilled paratha. Every bite was packed with authentic desi taste. Great portion size & perfect with a cup of chai. Can't wait to try more from their menu!
A small place in downtown Montreal that serves some of the best desi parathas. Their chai is also very tasty & feels like the tea you'd get at home. Highly recommend coming here for some parathas & chai (Ginger Chai)
If you are in the Montreal area looking for authentic homemade parathas & desi food-this is the spot to be at. They also serve excellent chai in a clay cup. Highly recommended!!!
The owner was also very nice! We had a great conversation with him about his restaurant. Will 100% return back!
The food was very nice & the customer service was excellent I would recommend this place for a Desi breakfast
Chai Paratha Restaurant is a fantastic spot for authentic flavors & a cozy atmosphere! We tried the samosa aloo-stuffed paratha, chicken kebab roll, & everything was delicious. The parathas were perfectly spiced, & the kebab was juicy & flavorful. The staff was welcoming & attentive, making the experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone craving traditional desi food with great service!
If you're craving a true desi breakfast experience, Chai Paratha is the place to go! Run by a warm & welcoming Pakistani husband-&-wife duo, this spot brings authentic flavors with a homestyle touch. We were treated to mouth-watering parathas that were perfectly crisp on the outside & soft on the inside - pure perfection! The channas were packed with flavor, & to top it off, their tea is simply the cherry on top, adding the perfect balance to the meal. As a lovely gesture, they even offered us complimentary saag, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommend. Chai Paratha for anyone in Montreal who misses that authentic, homestyle Pakistani breakfast. A must-visit!👍👍👍👍👍👍
The most authentic indian pakistani nashta omg it was soo yummy we were blow away & the gazar halwa was soo delicious it was made in desi ghee tasted just like as it back home the karak chai amazing must visit everyone for good ambiance's & best food.
Great place walking distance from the Guy Concordia university. If you are craving for desi style paratha, this is the place to be. The place is also very easy on the pocket.
It is one of the best Desi (Pakistani) joints in Canada & the US as we were visiting from the US, & have been yearning for some good halal Desi food. To our surprise the food was extremely delicious & I don't just praise food unless it smell, looks & the taste of every bite is amazing. These are my recommendations: 1. Laccha pratha with Chicken Tikka was simply deleciouso! 2. Chicken Chapli kebab was different & had a hole in the middle but still delicious even without Paratha. 3. Aloo Paratha was the best & was rich with the spicy mix potatoes filling in the nicely done paratha. 4. Chicken Paratha wasn't too bad the yogurt raita went well with it but honestly the Imli chutney ( house blend ) was the bomb it really got my full 100 marks. The ambiense was created by our DJ Salman ( the host ) with the best of Pakistan's best music from Coke Studio & some contemporary Indian Punjabi Songs. The decor was pretty eye-catching & nicely laid out for you to have genuinely unique Pakistani experience. Well done Team " Chai Paratha"
