Visited Chai Paratha over last weekend after hearing about food taste here from a couple of friend so i literally drove from CT-USA to Montreal to take stop for food & it was surely worth it.
Ordered anda paratha, aaloo paratha & saag. If you are from Pakistan & know the authenticity of taste of Punjab (lahore), you will surely enjoy the food. Food taste was nostalgic.
Above all the owner (aunty) was super nice. Had a quick talk to her & she was super nice & sweet & even helped me find Pakistani mangoes in Montreal since I was visiting only for a few hours & wanted to quickly buy mangoes.
If i ever end up going to montreal, this is surely going to be my place to stop by for food.
Highly recommended. The nihari was rich & flavourful, the halwa puri was fresh & satisfying, the cheese paratha was perfectly crispy & cheesy & the chai was excellent. Generous portions authentic taste & warm service made the experience even better. Definitely worth visiting again.
We had friends visiting from Toronto. They really liked Food. Food was delicious desi food.
We ordered Paratha & Nihari..must visit !
Had nihari & chana which was absolutely delicious….Complimentary meetha paratha was sooo tasty 😍 Super nice host & great food! ❤?
The food was excellent! I had the anda pyaaz (egg onion burji) with plain paratha & chole & a tea. Everything was delicious! The chef also gave everyone a complimentary cheeni paratha (sugar paratha) which was fabulous! Reminded me of my childhood! Definitely will visit again!
10⭐/10⭐
Best Paratha place for Paratha lovers, the ambience the taste of the paratha's gave totally homemade Maa ke hath ka paratha vibes.
Best parathas & chai ever. The atmosphere is so family like, felt like I was back home & really good service. I came here to eat 1 paratha & ended up eating 2.
The best parathas & chai I ever had in Montreal.Since I'm here from past 6 years.
This little family owned business is a hidden gem! Such a great vibe that evokes nostalgia. This was a first for us that could take us close to home cuisine. I definitely recommend the weekend specials, Lahori Nehari, Halwa Puri & Chana Masala. The sugar paratha is not to miss.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars
We recently visited Chai Paratha in downtown Montreal with our kids, & honestly, it felt more like visiting family than going to a restaurant. ❤?
We ordered aloo paratha, normal paratha, karak chai, & sabz chai - everything was absolutely delicious. The best part for us was that the food had a very mild spice level, which made our kids enjoy every bite without any complaints. Usually spicy food upsets kids, but this time they loved it so much!
The atmosphere was peaceful, clean, & felt very high-end. You can clearly see they have zero tolerance for hygiene issues - everything was neat, organized, & perfectly maintained.
What truly touched our hearts was the kindness & honesty of the staff. My wife accidentally forgot her purse in the restaurant, & when we called them, they were extremely cooperative & respectful. We got the purse back safely, & they handled everything with such care & professionalism.
I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Muhammad Asim Bajwa. Such a humble, hardworking, & kind-hearted person. While talking to him, you could genuinely feel his love & respect for people. He even called my wife his daughter - that level of warmth & care is very rare these days.
This place did not feel like just a restaurant… it truly felt like home.
May God bless him, his family, & his business with more success & happiness.
100% recommended place in Montreal for families, tea lovers, & anyone looking for delicious food with genuine hospitality. 🌟
