Ceramic Café-Studio is a unique franchise! A ceramic painting studio, a coffee shop and a boutique all in one place. Since opening in 1997, people gather at Ceramic Café-Studio. Whether you are a beginner or an accomplished painter, alone, with family or friends, you can come and paint original ceramics, which are both personalized and practical. The famous paninis are well known, the smoothies are delicious and the coffee is comforting. The Ceramic Café on St-Denis Street in Montreal is the first Ceramic Café that opened in Quebec in 1997. Since 2007 they are located at 4338 St-Denis Street, corner of Marie-Anne near the Mont-Royal metro. Previously they were located on the other side of the street at 4201 St-Denis Street, corner of Rachel Street. The owners and creators of the concept, Paola Cacopardo and Gilles Geoffrion, are franchisors of four Ceramic Cafés. Ceramic Café Montreal has two floors and can accommodate up to 100 people. The team of Ceramic Café Montreal goes as far as Gatineau to offer ceramic painting activities to groups such as schools, day care, summer camps, office parties, showers, children's parties and other occasions. Le Céramic Café Studio est un excellent endroit pour peindre de la céramique. Il y a énormément de choix de pièces à peindre & une large gamme de peintures disponibles.
Cependant, il est important de noter qu'il faut réserver sur place & attendre environ 2 heures pour obtenir une table. Vous pouvez en profiter pour vous balader dans la grande rue commerçante à proximité.
Le rapport qualité-prix est très bon : avec pourboire & taxes, j'en ai eu pour 26 $ au total. Il faut par contre attendre une semaine pour récupérer votre céramique cuite. Le résultat est beau, mais je suis un peu déçue car ils ont écrit quelque chose sur le pied de ma pièce, ce qui l'a abîmée & se voit sur le côté.
Malgré ce petit bémol, je recommande quand même l'expérience, c'était vraiment sympa !View more

As much as I liked the activity, the staff was horrible. The numerous times they've asked if we've paid despite having the transaction done several seconds ago, & in front of their own colleagues. Honestly felt like they were hoping to con their customers in paying for the "members," that they claimed did not pay even though they've been paid for. The other problem I noticed is that after receiving the ceramics was that all of the pottery were chipped at the bottom, & the paint that was originally there before giving to the employees were suddenly removed after the final product was received. So clearly, you're paying a hefty amount for a shitty job from this facility. I wouldn't recommend going here again, if anything find another place to enjoy this activity.View more

I've gone twice to this place & have enjoyed them both times. Whether with friends, on a date or on your own, I think this is a fun activity. There are plenty of paint color options as well as ceramics to choose from. All tools are provided. I definitely wish they had more variety in brushes & of higher quality, maybe an option for those more skilled or for more detailed work. I would recommend bringing your own brushes. The place can get a bit warm too, wish it had better ventilation. As for the food & drinks, I can't say as I have never ordered, but I've had no issues bringing bubble tea in. Staff are nice as well.View more

such a nice & relaxing spot to paint with friends! they offer a nice range of ceramics ranging from statues to mugs, though the prices can get quite expensive. they have a lot of tools & paints at your disposition, everything is very easy to access. i come here all the time, it's the perfect place for artisty people who love chatting the day away while designing their own ceramics!View more

The experience is nice for group activity , however it took forever waiting to get our turns & when we got a text message that its our turn, & we got there they told us we have to wait an extra hour & that the message system went wrong, after explaining that we were not happy about that ,the girls where not very nice to us ! Also when we wanted to go get the ceramics , we waited for a long time too!View more

The attention of the girls at the place was excellent when we went to paint our ceramic pieces, they explained the procedures very well, the food & drinks were very tasty. But a week after removing our pieces, the glaze was missing, I only used the mug twice but I'm afraid it will break, we called but they didn't give us any solution.View more

Very disappointed. Had gone to Ceramic Cafe a couple times before & never had these issues, maybe the waitress who took our table was new & didn’t know better, but 1) they made us pay for a ceramic that I picked out at the beginning but didn’t touch at all (previously they just wouldn’t charge you for it - & actually a few days later when I did the same with other friends this wasn’t an issue somehow: I had picked out 3 things, only painted 2, so they took off the 3rd item from the paper as they should). 2) the item I did paint, I got back chipped in multiple places, with the paint being see through in spots I know I went over 3 times. Maybe there was an accident & they dropped it, maybe the person handling it was a bit of a clutz, either way they should have disclosed the faults & given a refund. This is not the service & quality I expect. I feel scammed.View more

via LibroNous allons souvent au Céramic café, le personnel est super accueillant & travaillant. L'activité est super le fun. Nous avons réservé pour une fête. Les enfants ont tous adorés & revenus de la fête avec un gros sourire. Tous les parents m'ont ensuite écris que leur enfant avait trop aimé la fête! Tout y était, déco, nappe, ballon, visite des fours, une personne attitrée à nous etc... il fallait juste apportez le gâteau. C'était simple & tout était pris en charge! Our experience was overall great! There was a huge selection of ceramics to choose from & the pricing was extremely reasonable.
We did notice though, that a lot of colours were not available (most likely because other tables were using them) & the service was barely existent. We were given instructions & seated, but then never approached for drinks, food, additional questions (when other sections were).

The coffee & food is delicious. There is a wide selection of objects to paint & hundreds of colours to come up with an exciting creation.
