As avid chocolate lovers we recognize, as the Mayans did, that chocolate is a religion, and we wish to deliver this good word to the people of 21st century Montreal. Like our Beautiful city our menu is a wonderful fusion of cultures and tastes that are truly international. We are chocolate lovers & we found a great place! I tried La Noisette & my daughter took Oreo cheesecake milkshake, both were very good. Maybe we should try salty options next time!
We tried their C'Wow, hot chocolate, & milk chocolate fondue but the standout dessert was definitely the Milk chocolate fondue with fresh fruits. It was rich, perfectly balanced, & absolutely delicious. Easily the highlight of our visit & something I would highly recommend if you're stopping by. A must-try for any chocolate lover!
Très mauvaise expérience chez C'hocolat. Nous étions un groupe de 8 personnes, dont 4 jeunes enfants. Après être entrés & installés, les enfants ont commencé à passer leur commande. La serveuse a ensuite été vue en train de discuter avec la responsable, puis est revenue pour nous dire que, puisque c'était vendredi, il y avait un minimum de commande & que nous ne pouvions pas rester.
Aucune information claire ne nous a été donnée au départ, & nous avons ressenti un manque de considération envers les clients, surtout avec des enfants. On nous demande de quitter les lieux après avoir commencé à commander, avant même d'être servis - ce qui est totalement inacceptable.
L'organisation semblait désordonnée & l'attitude peu professionnelle. Nous avons eu l'impression de déranger plutôt que d'être les bienvenus.
Je ne recommande pas cet endroit, surtout pour les groupes ou les familles. Il y a de bien meilleures options ailleurs.

Suite à la réponse du propriétaire, je tiens à préciser que celle-ci ne reflète pas pleinement la réalité de notre expérience. Plutôt que d'adopter une posture défensive, une approche plus professionnelle aurait été de reconnaître le malentendu & de démontrer une volonté de s'améliorer.
La transparence, la responsabilité & le respect du client sont essentiels pour bâtir la confiance.

Very bad experience at C'hocolat. We were a group of 8 people, including 4 young children. After being seated, the children had started ordering. The waitress was then seen speaking with the manager & later returned to tell us that, since it was Friday, there was a minimum order requirement & we could not stay.
There was no clear information provided at the beginning, & we felt a lack of consideration for customers, especially with children. We were asked to leave after beginning to order, before even being served - which is completely unacceptable.
The organization seemed disorganized & the attitude unprofessional. We felt more like an inconvenience than welcomed customers.
I do not recommend this place, especially for groups or families. There are much better options elsewhere.

Following the owner's response, I would like to clarify that it does not fully reflect the reality of our experience. Rather than taking a defensive stance, a more professional approach would have been to acknowledge the misunderstanding & show a willingness to improve.
Transparency, accountability, & respect for customers are essential to building trust.

Le service est vraiment décevant, voire très désagréable. Le personnel manque de respect & de professionnalisme, ce qui gâche complètement l'expérience.
En plus, ils mettent de la pression pour que vous partiez si vous ne commandez pas un montant assez élevé, alors qu'il n'y a aucune indication claire ou affichée à ce sujet. C'est totalement inacceptable comme façon de faire.
Honnêtement, il y a plein d'autres endroits bien meilleurs. Je déconseille fortement, surtout aux familles avec enfants.
My partner & I went yesterday afternoon & tried the Pretty in Pink Bubble Waffle & the Nutella Banana Split Maison Jar Milkshake, both were delicious!
The waitress was also very kind & welcoming. Great experience overall!

Le.pire service. Ils obligent les clients a faire des grosses commandes sinon ils vous demandenr de partir. Meme si c es des enfants qui commandent ils s en foutent . A evite
Excellent resto, le chocolat est d'une très bonne qualité. Le personnel courtois en particulier Haïfa qui s'est pliée en mille morceaux pour servir un groupe de 12 personnes, un grand bravo à toute l'équipe
My husband & I came here on our Montreal trip & it did not disappoint! This was absolutely the best hot chocolate I've ever had! It was super rich & absolutely divine. The staff was extremely friendly & knowledgeable, & the atmosphere was calm & cozy! Definitely recommend you pop by on your Montreal visit.
Long wait times since they are always understaffed. Cheap overpriced corn syrup with color that they try to pass for chocolate. The Dubai crepe is just disgusting.
Go somewhere else to get better value for your money
