This was a strange evening. The staff is super cute, & they mean well. The place is a bit disorganized. Where to start? Mexican restaurant that has only 1 tequila... & it's Sauza... not really tequila. Food came to table... we asked what it was, the server said'I don't know - they told me to take it to your table.' Shrimp ceviche was rubbery, not cut properly, & was a lemon soy sauce bomb (tasted like soy sauce). Guac was under seasoned, chips were over fried... There's more to say... but I'll stop here... suffice it to say that it felt like they just opened & that it's being run by a bunch of young friends. Over $100 for 2 people & not worth it. I had an amazing experience at Casa Azul. The space was beautifully decorated, including the menus! Our server, Pablo, was very kind & helpful & attentive to our needs. The food was delicious, drinks were phenomenal & I highly recommend the ceviche for seafood lovers, which was very fresh, tangy & well seasoned! Visited Casa Azul for the first time yesterday & it was fabulous! Our server Pablo was amazing & so kind. The atmosphere, decor & dishes provided an authentic mexican feel with an artistic touch. I really enjoyed looking through the images of Frida Kahlo in the menu. 100% going back again!Voir plus

The food was incredible, which was surprising to me after the not so great service we received. The server wasn't rude or anything, but he knew very little about the restaurant (& it wasn't a language barrier thing because I was with a francophone). I asked when they closed, he had no idea. I asked what vegetables were in the dish, he had no idea. Service also took a very long time. By the time we got our food we were really skeptical about the quality, considering the service, but it was so good & we ate every bite. So, hit & miss here?Voir plus
