Thank you so much! Justin was the best server. He was the reason we decided to walk in, & he continued the amazing service throughout. Suggesting food, taking pictures for us & laughing together! Great food & overall experience.
I was expecting more & therefore I was sadly disappointed. Hopefully this review will temper the expectations of the italian fusion fans. I am a particular fan of italian -japanese fusion restaurants having tried a number in both hong kong & tokyo. From an instagram post I expected something similar from this italian-peruvian fusion restaurant. I am also a pretty big fan of peruvian food. Its not that its not decent, everything was OK, but everythig really could have been a little more excellent with a little more flair & effort. Three of us ate so I tried a lot on the menu, most notable was the cheesecake which was similar to a Basque cheesecake but with a creme caramel top - I have had better but it was very good. The carbonara was decent as well, but again I have had better. MD rating 6.
Food was excellently presented. Our server however knew nothing about them menu, when we asked questions prior to order & once the food arrived we wanted to know some information about what some things were on the octopus carpaccio but he didn't know & said he never tried it...
I would expect more from a place like this with such a lovely small menu. Would love to eat the food again some day though!

Food was super tasty & the presentation was beautiful!!
We took the ceviche, causa de camarones, pulpo a l'olivo & frito mixto as appetizers & they were all amazing. We also took the arroz con marisco (wow), the brisquet (great meat), the pasta a la peruvianesca & all three desserts. Everything was consistently good! The service was also great!
New patio is so beautiful!!! Amazing food amazing cocktails amazing service. Thank you so much joseph mia & meg! Will be back! Do not miss this gem if in the old port
After a long day of exploring Montreal, Capisco turned out to be exactly what I needed to wind down & end the night on a perfect note. The atmosphere was relaxed & inviting, just the kind of place where you can sit back, breathe a little, & enjoy the moment.
Our bartender, Alex was so kind & welcoming, which made the whole experience feel even more comfortable. You could tell the staff really cared about creating a good experience, not just serving food.
Food was excellent. Simple, satisfying, & exactly what I was hoping for to wrap up the night.
Overall, Capisco felt like one of those places you're glad you found. If you're looking for a pleasant, low-key spot to chill after a full day in Montreal or to end your evening on a good note, this is definitely worth stopping by.
I was having a big expectation from this place since the owner is the same of chifa & Tiradito which the two of them are amazing. But this place was ok the tiradito capresse was our favorite with ordered twice . The ceviche was also really good & the lomo saltado to share is nice. The tiramisu was ok nothing extraordinary. The cocktail I got was good. I guess the only comment about it was the service or I mean the lack of it. You can totally tell that the waitress didnt like her job. I mean I work in the same industry & I know sometimes you can have one of those days but she really didn't even try it. To me service is 80% of the tip & when they are expecting 22% of tip with that kind of attitude no way. I guess old port service is really something. Ps the place was not even full when we arrived it was like two or three tables more
Capisco is a hole in the wall in old town Montreal, my girlfriend & I went in on a Wednesday & wasn't sure what to expect. Reading the reviews some people in the past were worried about the limited menu but we decided to give it a try. We are extremely happy we did, the food was exceptional & our server was genuine & very personable. It was very empty & my girlfriend & I were very surprised considering how good the food & atmosphere was. The scallops were to die for & their wine menu was extensive for a small restaurant. Overall, it was a fantastic date night & we don't regret it one bit.
