Excellent restaurant mexicain avec un super bon super dans une ambiance décontractée. Je recommande fortement le plat Costra Cochinita & l'entrée jalapeno, c'était excellent! Cocktails un peu cher. Mais pardonnable pour la qualité de la soirée que nous y avons passée.Voir plus

Went there for my birthday with the typical group that arrives one by one & late. Regardless our waiter was very patient & professional (I think his name was Daniel, you rock). Drinks were next level ! The Mezcaloni blew me away, clever twist, balanced & delicious. Food was delicious, a bit pricy some would say, but if the new restaurant on the corner can sell you a carrot for 20$, I don't see why mouth-watering tacos that celebrate the cultural diversity of our city meeting local ingredients could not be sold at a the same price. Only constructive comment I have to give is about the wine list that could be improved to make the place a serious competitor for any other buvette or local resto/bar. I used to go to Caifan's old location & I truly miss it. I miss the menu with different mezcals that you could try, I miss the food tasting menu, & I miss learning about the history & culture around the food. The current location is beautiful & the food is fine. But the magic is gone. I'm sure the owners are making more money now & that's great, but the experience is not what it used to be as a customer. All in all, it's a great location for instagram influencers who are looking to pose with cute drinks & nice decor while listening to generic techno music.Voir plus
As a customer who knew caifan from its old location, we were very disappointed. We miss the mezcal tasting, the food tasting menu & the intimate service explaining where the food came from & how it was prepared. It has become another restaurant like the others. Still good food but much more expensive & lost its special touch, unfortunately.Voir plus

I'm Latino to begin with. Food wasn't that bad but too expansive for the portions. I've been to cheaper, more tasty, & bigger portions per order places in Montreal. Now, where they really lost me was on the service!! It was horrible!! I asked for extra limes more than once to different waiters & never got it. The waiter wasn't properly informed about their own menu. There's an option where you can add extra tacos for an extra fee. We asked for it & she said it was too late. &!!!!! They had no agua de horchata like!!!! The place ain't authentic at all. Almost forget, they charge you for a tiny sauce which in any other Mexican restaurant is free & the waitress said it was included!!!!!! I'll go make my own tacos !Voir plus
