Been eating at Vasco for years. Our office often uses them as a caterer & the quality is consistently good. Recently ate in for the first time since the pandemic & it was nice to see nothing had changed. Service rolls quickly even at lunch hour & the sandwiches come out perfectly hot. Prices are good for the quality of food. Definitely recommend the lamb & the duck confit sandwiches. The natas are absolutely fabulous & taste as good as in Portugal. Obrigada!View more
One of the oldest coffeeshops of Montreal. Same decor & same menu. Same average service by the employees. I don't know, if it's hard for the employees to be little warm towards their guests. Otherwise, their coffees are first class. Over the time, the prices have risen. I have been coming here for the last 15 years , so the only evolution I saw is in the prices. I recommend the cafe au lait or cappuccino. The texture is smooth & the taste is super delicious. Beside the service, I enjoy the rest of the experience.View more
One of my favorite cafés in MTL, Vasco da Gama is a fancier place to grab a ILLY Espresso & a wide variety of sandwiches & other things.
It's yellow walls & blue sea tiles invite your eyes to feast on it's beautiful decor as it's a great place I'd recommend for a fancier coffee date. Being a Portugese style café, they also have the world famous Portuguese egg tarts called "Natas" & a few portugese imports such as Piri-Piri hot sauce, fancy-schwancy sardines tin cans & a few other interesting finds. Also one can buy a whole can of that high-end renown ILLY coffee in the tin cans so you can enjoy it at home.
A classic on Peel street when you need a break from shopping!!View more
Vasco is the best spot for a light & healthy lunch in downtown Montreal. I have been eating there for many years. With a cozy European atmosphere & excellent customer service, I would recommend to tourists & locals alike. Food is always fresh & there’s a nice variety of salads & sandwiches
