The cafe is so beautifully decorated with Persian art & furniture. The food was so good, everything was insanely aromatic. The tea is absolutely wonderful: perfect flavour & perfect presentation. The service was impeccable. The whole place feels very welcoming.
Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with the service. Although the ambiance was beautiful & pleasant, the service quality was far below expectations. Our order took over an hour to arrive. Even a simple cup of tea for my friend took more than an hour.
When it was time to pay, the lady at the cashier responded was not friendly at all. It's really disappointing because the place has such a nice atmosphere, but the poor service ruined our experience.
This Persian café feels like home. The food is delicious & comforting, just like homemade dishes. The brunch is always amazing, & the teas are truly exceptional. A cozy spot that keeps you coming back.
Just had a tea it was awesome,
Toujours bien de venir ici boire un thé,
Fast (10min) delicious food with nice presentation in a pretty atmosphere (relaxing clean terrace, welcoming & sweet staff). Couldn't ask for a more ideal lunch break. I had the eggplant ragout (Fessenjan) & I plan on coming back to try more vegetarian options :) the first time I stepped in here just to look at the menu, the woman at the counter gave me a yummy Persian smoothie sampler. They have vegan gluten-free pastries.
Edit/ returned to try the kashkbademjan, another eggplant & yogurt dish, & it was incredible. Came back again to have the smoked eggplant omelette with the parfumerie de la vie tea & it was really nice. Sekanjebine & concombre drink was really good. Matcha smoothie was good. I had the do piazeh (potato dish) recently & it was delish. The berry pistachio omelette was simple but well done with subtle Persian flavour. Will defs keep coming back. Came back & had the smoked eggplant omelette & it was so good!
Excellent & delicious Persian food & tea! Good service with a pleasantly warm atmosphere. I highly recommend.
Absolutely delicious food! The flavors were rich & authentic, & everything was so fresh. The saffron cake was incredibly moist & full of flavor - paired perfectly with the tea. The service was also wonderful - warm, attentive, & welcoming. Toranj is a great spot for anyone craving quality Persian cuisine. Highly recommend!
Always an absolute delight! From the appetizers to the coffees, smoothies, breakfast & meals. This café is an absolute gym. It is a little taste of the Middle East in NDG. The service is impeccable, the food is heavenly, & the tea is exotic & luxurious. & arrive early so you can find yourself a nice antique wing chair by the window.
Very nice staff. Cozy atmosphere.
We ate the number 2. It was delicious! I would definitely go back!
Tea was amazing!
The sausage omelette was not what i had expected. I wouldn't recommend the omelette.
We visited this Iranian brunch spot & had a great experience. The place was cozy & welcoming, & the food was fresh & well-prepared.
We tried two dishes:
Nashtaei 2 - A mix of potato pudding (Do Piazeh), lentil soup, a Persian-style omelette, & pinto beans, served with tea or coffee. Everything was flavorful & comforting.
Nashtaei 3 - A savory plate with sausage & tomato mixture (Bandari), boiled eggs, potato pudding (Do Piazeh), & pinto beans, also paired with tea or coffee.
The service was friendly & excellent, & the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere & cozy ambience.
One thing we missed was the saffron ice cream, but we'll definitely be back to try it.
If you enjoy good food with rich flavors, this place is worth a visit! Highly recommended.
Iranian food, Farsi culture. The food was generous & tasty. The quality & selection of tea is outstanding. Service is so very friendly. The atmosphere is eclectic & funky. The food is Iranian, (so don't expect egg rolls or hamburgers) & may seem unfamiliar to many, but the pride of the service & yearning to share their culture makes for a very soft landing as you stretch your horizons. The food is not cheap, but is all high quality & certainly of fair value all things considered.
Really delicious & simple meals that come out in style. I tried the Gheimeh Nesar Ageau which is a lamb rice plate with middle eastern dried fruits & spices. It was really fresh & tasted homemade. Not too strong of a flavor, it was delicious though. & then i also tried for the first time a saffron decaf latte with soy milk. It was a bit earthier & richer taste them coffee on is own. It just masked all the sweetness & made the coffee taste more mature to my palette. It was really good! This Iranian/Persian cafe is beautifully designed & perfect for hanging out or a date & to have Turkish coffee, tea, share plates & desserts & more. One small note is that there is some cleaning that could be done & service is not so attentive... you will have to get up & ask to be waited on. Also, plates are a bit pricey, but they are filling. My plate could've fed two easily.
They were disorganized behind the counter, waited more than 20 minutes for a tea & coffee.
I had dinner with two friends last night & we ordered the vegetarian plate & the protein plate, with a pot of chai masala tea. We were able to get an outdoor table. Excellent food & friendly service! Everything was hot & fresh, with beautiful presentation & generous portions. I've visited several times & it's always been a good experience. Thank you!
Great atmosphere & quality of services ! Good tea & food! Try it & you will be convinced.
like others have mentioned the service is really not good, the worker was not rude at all just very inattentive (we sat outside). We ordered a latte & tea & only the latte came awhile after the food (also extremely tasteless & watery pistachio chai). I cancelled the tea since it seemed like she forgot, also had to go ask for water. But otherwise the terrace was a nice space, & the food made it worth it for me, everything had great flavor! Especially the spicy sausage dish (though not spicy) & small sholeh zard. The bread wasn't my favorite. We got the brunch Nashtaei 2 (they were out of potato pudding so swapped sausage) Overall I was satisfied 🙂↕️ but probably wouldn't be back again
We went here yesterday for brunch & I have to say the service could not be any worst. The 2 male servers working there, were completely arrogant & completely uninterested in costumers. At some point both of them were outside chatting each other up. We did not get the tea that was included with our breakfast & at some point even needed to get up to get their attention. The food is not great either, there is way too much tumeric & EVERYTHING.
The service was the worst! The waitress had an attitude showed on her face & the way she talked! Couldn't get her or any other's attention & had to get up from the table to go talk to them!!! The food was great till I found a mini ROCK in my soup! Almost broke my tooth! The only positive thing I liked was the esthetics of the cutlery & the tea! I wouldn't visit this restaurant again
