First time here. The wait was short. It was packed. A full & popular spot in little Italy. The food is great, I really enjoyed the focaccia & the cannolis. The service is nice. But the coffee was just okay honestly for 6$ it wasn't worth it. The Spicy honey was very light so just ok.View more
I've visited Café San Gennaro twice now, & both times were delightful experiences. Their pizza was tasty, but the real standout was their cannolis-the shell was perfectly crisp, while the filling was smooth, creamy, & just the right level of sweetness. All the flavors balanced beautifully, making it one of the best cannolis I've had.
The latte was also well-made, & overall, the prices felt fair for the quality you get. The only downside is that seating can be limited, especially during peak hours, so timing your visit matters.
What really adds to the experience is the friendly & welcoming staff, who make you feel right at home. If you're looking for a cozy café with great Italian treats, Café San Gennaro is definitely worth a visit!View more
A perfect café for a casual brunch! The pizza is super soft & tasty; the cannolis & bombolonis are a must-try. I love the pistachio flavour the most. The coffee is also excellent. They have outdoor seating in summer, perfect for a relaxing weekend vibe. Highly recommend!View more
My friend brought me to this place, & it made me feel like I was at home. The pizzas are excellent. Warmed up or fresh off the tray, they are amazing. They remind me of what my Nona & great aunts used to make when I was a kid-taking one bite through me back 30 years. The pastries are fluffy & sweet. I had the pistachio donut, which tasted like soft, sweet bread with a pinch of pistachio cream. We tried Margherita & Mariana. Both are superb choices. Next time, I'm excited to try the pepperoni. We finished with two cannolis, which were fantastic. I will have to go back & buy a dozen to share with my family. All the staff were super friendly with a giant smile, ready to provide excellent customer service. I did enjoy the attempt to upsell & see if there was anything else the customer was interested in purchasing.View more
Friendly service + good cannoli& gelato. However, decaf latte was a bit bland.View more
For starters this place is very authentic, I knew when the workers were speaking Italian that it would live up to the reviews & it didn't disappoint. I haven't had pastries like this since Italy & believe me I've tried to find them. One major difference is that the pastries don't leave you feeling bloated & gross. I had two slices of pizza, a cannoli & half a donut & feel fine, in fact I could have eaten a few more donuts. The best part about this place is the pricing is very fair & the tip options starts at 10%, a dying feature in modern eating out. Bravo.View more
Came here from Jarry Park after getting a recommendation from a friend & it didn't disappoint! At first they only had the sausage rapini so we got some hot slices & a pitcher of aperol spritz & sat on the terrace ( dog friendly for well behaved dogs, so we brought our little dog. ) We realized we definitely needed more pizza to go with our spritzes & luckily they had just pulled out caciocavallo & pepperoni pizzas so we got some of those & a couple of cannoli. All of the pizza was great! The caciocavllo was definitely the most unique, it reminded me of raclette. Buttery potatoes with melted cheese over. Very tasty. The cannoli were also really good, even after 7 slices of pizza between two people we ate them easily. The cream was super rich & the perfect sweetness. We went near the end of the day on Saturday (around 530) & it stayed pretty busy for the hour & a half we were there. A lot of people were picking up whole pizzas. One random nice thing that maybe matters more to me than most is they had carbonated water on tapView more
Definetly one of the best places for pizza in mtl. The crust & bread has that stone baked taste which is great & the ingredients are fresh & tasty. The Margarita, pepperoni, & marinara pizzas were fresh & delicious. Cannolis also very good. Price a bit pricey.View more

Cafe San Gennaro is in my top 3 cafe shops in Montreal. The coffee is great & the food is amazing. Their breakfast pizza is a standout. The cannoli's are one of the best in the city. Don't walk here, run.View more
