About

Café ORR focuses on a plant-forward menu that centers on artisanal sandwich preparation and fresh vegetable-based compositions. The kitchen utilizes seasonal produce to construct hearty, layered sandwiches served on house-baked breads that emphasize texture and structural integrity. Vegan options populate the primary offerings, ensuring that diverse dietary preferences remain integrated into every aspect of the culinary design. The space functions as an informal hub characterized by straightforward preparation techniques and a functional layout intended for quick access. Ingredients prioritize local harvest cycles to maintain consistency across the rotating selection of handheld meals. This establishment provides a focused approach to vegetarian fare by stripping away unnecessary complexity in favor of reliable, nutrient-dense preparations that highlight the inherent quality of each raw vegetable component provided within the daily lineup.

Review Summary

Café ORR is widely regarded as a unique and cozy destination in Montreal, appreciated for its artistic, quirky interior and welcoming atmosphere. Many visitors find it to be an ideal spot for working, studying, or relaxing, particularly due to its varied seating options and late-night availability. While opinions on the quality of coffee and food are mixed, with some praising the drinks and pastries as exceptional and others finding them average, the staff is frequently described as friendly and helpful. However, a recurring point of contention is the volume of the music, which some patrons find distracting or overwhelming, occasionally clashing with the café's otherwise calm environment. Despite minor concerns regarding noise levels and occasional ventilation issues, the café remains a popular and character-filled location for both locals and travelers alike.

The place to be for a late night study sesh.
Vibes are great, could be a tad cleaner, but some could say it's part of the charm.
Come here often regardless, drinks are good as is the food.

Good coffe & cute cafe with lots of options for drinks & snacks. I was in a hurry so I did not get a chance to sit down but I saw that the place was nice & had good decor. I will come here next week with a book for an afternoon & get some work done as well. The barista was nice & friendly.

When visiting my daughter in Montreal, she insisted on showing me her favorite cafe. Despite hearing about how great it was in advance, it was beyond expectations. The decore was artistic & inviting. Food & drinks were good.
Our server Caroline was wonderful. Went above & beyond to make the experience special. Definately an exceptional experience.

I waited 15 minutes before an employee showed up at the counter to serve me.

The latte was served luke warm - hence became cold within seconds.

The WIFI connection was so slow & I couldn't get my work done.

The seating was terrible & there is not enough space allocated to people moving around the cafe. My table was continually knocked into & a drink almost spilled over my laptop.

Overall an awful experience.

The moment you walk in, this café gives off a creative, slightly quirky energy that you notice right away. It doesn't try to be minimalist or trendy, instead, it embraces a bold, artistic style that makes the place feel alive & full of character.

One thing I really loved: it's very laptop-friendly. There's plenty of space, lots of seating options, & many electricity outlets for laptops. You can easily spend hours here, working, studying, or even playing chess. Or you can simply sit back & enjoy the atmosphere, which is cozy, creative, & never boring.
They even have a second floor with a nice view of the space below, perfect if you want to work quietly while still feeling connected to the café's energy.
I tried their drink, & while the latte was just okay, the overall vibe of the place made the visit worth it.

Probably one of my fav cafes right now !! The atmosphere is so nice, everything is beautifully decorated & the food & drinks are so good. There are two floors, so I'd say it's pretty spacious, & there are a bunch of board games lying around that you could use. A definite place to go check out, trust me !!

This is one of my favourite places to sit & work, discover new music or hang out with friends. They have a good selection of drinks & a decent selection of food. Only downside is the service which can be reallll slow.
