Cafe Olimpico is my go-to café when I'm working from the office (& not just because it's on the way to work). Yes, the lines can get long at certain times of day, but the excellent coffee & great service (special credit to Justin & Lucas on that part) make it worth it...not to mention the variety of sweet treats. My order isn't anything exciting, but it's a consistently good cup of coffee.
It's one of the best cafes in downtown Montreal. The Americano & the freddo are crazy good. The sandwiches & pastries are fresh with amazing flavors. The bomboloni are my favorite. & the Nutella horn is also delicious, to lift your spirits :) The staff is always very nice & attentive. They're very friendly & funny. The young guys who are there on weekdays, Justin & Luca, are the best! The place is not very big. But there is a square next to it which is perfect for an iced coffee in the sun. & nearby is also the Phillips Square, which is also ideal to enjoy your pastries. 100% recommended. I always take my family & friends with me when we are downtown.
My favorite cafe, period. I'm here 2 - 3 times a week & can come more than twice a day. P.S. their coffee is as goodas the coffee I had when travelling in Colombia (the land of coffee). My love for Olimpico started with their Biscottis (the soft ones). It was later followed by a love affair with their bombolinis (pistachio). Then I tried their cafe freddo; so good it can make a grown woman cry. It is THE coffee spot for all of Montreals; the corporates, the hipsters, the students. It's a fit for all. Luca & Justin are the kindest severs. They will pass a couple of jokes to make you smile. They will get to know you, they will make your day a little brighter. Stay & work/study (great wifi, but no plugs) or grab drinks & snacks to go (& make the entire office happy by brining them some cookies). The place itself is quite small; which I have found to bring a charm. It makes you feel closer to the other people. A sort of community feel. I've been coming for over 5 years now..... FIVE YEARS! I cannot rave about it enough. THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD FOR YOUR COFFEE!!!!

Je vais prendre un café chez Olimpico centre-ville tous les jours & le service est impeccable à chaque fois. Les employés sont chaleureux & efficaces. Lucas, Justin & Daniele offrent le meilleur service dans tout Montréal. Je recommande ce café à tous!
Great coffee, same quality as Mile End. But I have to put two stars because of how they've done the set up inside. There are way too many tables for the 200square feet they have, it makes waiting in line nearly impossible & very uncomfortable (as much for the people sitting down as for the people standing up). Everyone is squeezed to the brim the moment there are more than 5 people in line, let alone when there are 10 people. It just seems like there was no thought process in the amount of furniture they've squeezed in.
