Review Summary

Café Noya is a popular spot in Montreal known for its cozy atmosphere and quality Japanese-inspired menu, particularly its flavorful udon dishes, variety of onigiri, and matcha-based drinks. Many customers appreciate the welcoming service and find the space well-suited for both casual dining and studying, though the café frequently gets busy, which can lead to longer wait times and limited seating. While opinions on portion sizes and flavor profiles vary, with some finding specific dishes bland or overpriced and others praising the authentic taste and comforting quality, the overall consensus highlights it as a reliable destination for a quick, satisfying meal or a refreshing beverage.

Je suis allée manger quelques fois dans ce café & le onigiri au saumon fumé & le onigiri au boeuf sont bon mais le brownie était dur comme de la roche, immangeable.

I ate at Cafe Noya last night. The place looks nice. I ordered chicken teriyaki, & the sauce tasted good but wasn't enough for me. I didn't like the black mushrooms that came with it. Overall, my dining experience was 6 out of 10.

A nice spot for lunch. I really enjoyed the broth of the beef udon-it's rich in flavor & very comforting. The onigiri was another highlight, freshly made to order with soft, fluffy rice. Portions are on the smaller side for big eaters, & the wait for onigiri can be a little slow, but overall it's a pleasant place for a satisfying meal.

I don't recommend the beef rice, though-the meat portions weren't generous, & the accompanying salad came without any dressing, which made it feel a bit lacking.
