Review Summary

Overall, Café Nook feels like a cozy and welcoming spot with a cute vibe and friendly staff, offering a broad menu of house made cakes, pastries, and drinks where matcha and banana matcha drinks stand out and some cakes are rich and delicate; the cakes are fresh and the flavors varied, the coffee is solid and latte art is pleasing, and the atmosphere is quiet enough for studying or chatting; prices are a bit high for certain items but justified by generous slices and quality, seating can be limited at peak times, and the overall impression is that Café Nook is a charming place to relax and explore a diverse menu.

Bit overpriced for a slice of cake but quality is good so it's understandable

We visited Café Nook on a Saturday around lunch-time. It's a relatively new café in the Plateau but appears to be well-loved. The décor was cute with some plushies here & there, as well as a post-it note wall filled with little notes from visitors. The music playing wasn't too loud so it's a place you can study at or have a conversation with friends. Another big plus was that the bathroom was very clean.

The staff were very kind, knowledgeable, & took great care to ensure the cakes & drinks came out perfect! Being a Korean dessert café, they had many traditional cakes & patisseries, but also some unique flavours such as injeolmi cake (Korean sweet rice cake). Their drink menu is extensive & very tempting, including strawberry matcha & nut milk-based beverages.

We tried the matcha latte, hojicha latte, earl grey cake slice, & moka cake slice. The cake slices were a tad pricier than average, but I would say it's justified as the slices are significantly more generous. Both cake flavours were light & airy, & not too sweet (asians will know this is the greatest compliment). The latte prices are in-line with most cafés in the city. Matcha & hojicha lattes are often a hit-or-miss in the city due to sub-par tea quality, but Café Nook's tea quality was great & the beautiful latte art was a cherry-on-top.

We will definitely be returning whenever we're in the area to try more of their extensive menu.

adorable korean cafe with spacious seats! the atmosphere is super cute & their menu has original items like salt bread & hojicha latte. the cake slices were slightly expensive $7-$9 but nothing too crazy.
