Café Nook is widely praised as a cozy and aesthetically pleasing destination in Montreal, frequently compared to a charming, relaxing retreat. Visitors consistently highlight the high quality of the house-made cakes and diverse beverage menu, with particular acclaim given to the matcha drinks, latte art, and unique offerings like salt bread. While some find the pricing on the higher side, most agree that the generous portions and fresh ingredients justify the cost. The staff members are frequently noted for being friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, contributing to an atmosphere that is ideal for both working and socializing. Despite occasional comments about limited seating or varying flavor intensity, the overall consensus is that Café Nook provides a delightful and consistent experience worth visiting.

I had a great experience at Nook Cafe! The injeolmi cake was absolutely delicious & tasted so fresh. The café itself is incredibly cute with a cozy, authentic Korean vibe. If you're looking for a charming place to enjoy Korean-inspired desserts & drinks, I definitely recommend stopping by! 🫰🏻

Great place! Drinks & desserts have just the right level of sweetness & are quite delicate in terms of taste. The banana matcha is probably the best matcha-based drink I've ever had. Will come back to try more things ✨

an extremely cute place!!!! their cakes look so unique!

i got a salt bread & a strawberry matcha. the salt bread was really good & indeed lives up to its name. it feels almost too salty to be eaten even in moderation however (but that's not the cafe's fault i think that's just the concept of a salt bread lol). the bread itself is really nicely baked & there was cheese inside which added a nice touch.

the strawberry matcha had the perfect balance between sweet &'matcha'. the only thing i'd say is that it felt quite light. light in the sense that 1) it felt a bit too watery for a milk-based drink 2) however there was no dairy/milky aftertaste so that was pleasant!

overall a cute cafe with a very nice/warm atmosphere :)

The mango matcha drink was really good. Earl grey cake had no flavour.

We visited Café Nook on a Saturday around lunch-time. It's a relatively new café in the Plateau but appears to be well-loved. The décor was cute with some plushies here & there, as well as a post-it note wall filled with little notes from visitors. The music playing wasn't too loud so it's a place you can study at or have a conversation with friends. Another big plus was that the bathroom was very clean.

The staff were very kind, knowledgeable, & took great care to ensure the cakes & drinks came out perfect! Being a Korean dessert café, they had many traditional cakes & patisseries, but also some unique flavours such as injeolmi cake (Korean sweet rice cake). Their drink menu is extensive & very tempting, including strawberry matcha & nut milk-based beverages.

We tried the matcha latte, hojicha latte, earl grey cake slice, & moka cake slice. The cake slices were a tad pricier than average, but I would say it's justified as the slices are significantly more generous. Both cake flavours were light & airy, & not too sweet (asians will know this is the greatest compliment). The latte prices are in-line with most cafés in the city. Matcha & hojicha lattes are often a hit-or-miss in the city due to sub-par tea quality, but Café Nook's tea quality was great & the beautiful latte art was a cherry-on-top.

We will definitely be returning whenever we're in the area to try more of their extensive menu.
