The hotel where we stayed suggested this place. I was suspicious since it was literally around the corner. Was it suggested based on location or something else? Well. It is something else!
The staff were so friendly! My daughter ordered the crepe with strawberries & Nutella. I ordered the crepe with cheese & grilled vegetables. They were huge! They were delicious! I added a cup of steaming hot drip coffee & two fresh baked croissants as a snack later in the day:-)
What a wonderful way to start the day!!!
BTW-I was so excited to eat my crêpe that my daughter didn't get the chance to snap a photo of it.
This place was amazing! The kind gentleman served me while I visited Montreal & helped me practice my French each day I visited. I highly recommend this cafe! The coffee was amazing & atmosphere was so comfortable. C'est très bien!
Every item on the menu looks tempting, & it was hard to choose. We tried the jambon crêpe & the jambon omelette, & both were absolutely heavenly-full of flavor & perfectly prepared. The space is very clean, cozy, & authentic, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly helpful & welcoming. The coffee deserves a special mention-the vanilla latte was the best I've had in a long time. We truly enjoyed every single bite of our breakfast & would happily come back again. ☕🥐

We are in Montreal & staying a block from here so we stopped in for breakfast. The staff were very friendly & we really enjoyed our breakfast here.
We all had crêpes & I had a coffee. My youngest son ordered a Nutella with no bananas & when they brought it to our table the lady said crêpe with extra bananas. It made me smile.
I'd definitely recommend this place, & we plan to have Breakfast again there tomorrow before we leave for New York because it was so awesome!
It was my first time in Montreal & I found this great spot right by my hotel. Coffee & food were both great & the staff was super friendly. I stopped in every morning & will definitely be back next time I'm in Montreal!

The coffee was perfectly blended, & the spinach & cheese omelette was beyond delicious. The staff were incredibly warm & welcoming - it truly feels like family the moment you walk in. Cozy, friendly, & full of good vibes.

The food here was amazing! We stayed for 4 days in Montreal & we had our breakfast here 3/4 days becasue it was so good, not to mention the freshly made specialty coffees too! They also have a very diverse menu so you can eat here all week & try something new every day!
The real standout here is the service, although I am a novice french speaker, the staff happily encouraged me to try & order in french & they were so kind! They always make sure you have a table to sit at when your food is ready. It seemed this restaurant was loved by travelers & locals & I totally understand why, highly recommend!
Wonderful café! We stayed a few nights at Hyatt Place, Downtown Montreal & noticed this place was a close walk. We had a stroller & a 10 month at the time & they were very friendly & accommodating. Good coffee, great crêpes! We had the Nutella Strawberry & the Ham, Swiss & Asparagus options & we were very happy!
Service was nice & friendly. Food however was very very mid. Coffee was bland. The ham & sausage were cheap quality. University students seem to be the main clientele.
Café Lulu truly exceeded our expectations & became one of the highlights of our trip to Montreal. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly warm & welcoming, creating a friendly & relaxed vibe that made us feel right at home. They were attentive without being intrusive, & you could tell they genuinely care about their guests having a great experience.
The food was absolutely fantastic - beautifully presented & even better tasting. Every dish we ordered was fresh, well-prepared, & full of flavor. I personally couldn't get enough of the Nutella-Fraises Crêpes - they were rich, indulgent, & perfectly balanced with the fresh strawberries. Definitely a must-try if you have a sweet tooth like me!
The atmosphere of the café was just as impressive - cozy, stylish, & filled with natural light. It had a welcoming charm that made it the perfect place to relax & enjoy a leisurely meal. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or just a coffee & a treat, Café Lulu offers a fantastic experience all around.

First family trip to Montreal & we found Cafe Lulu across the street from our hotel. Great food for us & our kids - delicious croissants, fresh made crepes & good coffee. We enjoyed lunch so much, we came back for breakfast & will be back again before we go home. Also, the staff is so friendly & welcoming & does whatever is asked to make your meal exactly as you want it - a big deal with 2 kids who can be a little picky at time! Would definitely recommend!!
