Edit: unfortunately it seems their prices have increased drastically this summer for their staples, matcha & hojicha lattes, but the quality is noticeably lower 😔 $7+ for a drink makes it so that this place is no longer an affordable place to drop in, but an unsustainable luxury that a lot of regulars won't be able to afford. Used to come here a lot, but the rise in price & drop in quality is quite disappointing to see 🫤

One of the best hidden gems in MTL. Delicious food, good drinks. Best to get at least two onigiri to be satisfied. The filter coffee is the best cup of black coffee in the city, in my humble opinion. Gorgeous interior & good music playing most of the time. Nice natural light. Just overall lovely spot to visit.

YVR foodie tourist here. I happened to stumble upon this cute shop specializing in onigiri after having Schwartz 😂. I ordered the Tuna Mayo & Matcha Latte. I really like their aesthetic & how they present their onigiri's.

The place is beautiful, but the onigiris I had were quite bland, the matcha was also not good, oh well.

This coffee shop specializes in onigiri, & the atmosphere is definitely a strong point. It's stylish, cozy, & well thought out - the coin-covered floor is a standout detail & very cool.

As for the food, it's average. For the same price, you can find onigiri at a kiosk near McGill that may not have the same hype or aesthetic, but offers more flavor & much more generous fillings.

I tried three onigiri: breaded chicken, egg, & tuna with mayonnaise. The breaded chicken was my favorite, followed by the tuna. The egg one came last for me.

I'd recommend trying it at least once, especially if you appreciate a nice atmosphere. That said, I wouldn't go back on my own, as flavor matters more to me than a cool setting.
