Café Kuya in Brossard is a fantastic spot to experience Filipino-inspired flavors in a cozy & welcoming setting. The ube iced latte was the highlight of my visit-it has a beautiful purple color, a smooth & creamy texture, & just the right amount of sweetness.
The earthy, subtly nutty flavor of ube pairs surprisingly well with the espresso, creating a unique & refreshing drink.
I also love how the café showcases Filipino flavors in a modern way, making it a great place to discover or revisit a taste that's deeply rooted in Filipino cuisine. The friendly service & relaxing atmosphere make the experience even better. If you're in Brossard, the ube iced latte is definitely worth trying!
We've been coming here for years & over the last two years especially the past few months, the matcha Lattee ube drink is so inconsistent & not good.
Every time we try to give them a chance but this will be our last time there.
Paying 8$ a drink for something looking like this? Matcha tastes off, given its a iced drink, there are only a few ice which already melted by the timing walking to our car.
Also waited 25 minutes for theses 4 matcha ….
Employee doesn't weight the matcha & just pours as they feel, one of the four tasted a bit of matcha, rest of them taste like milk.
So disappointed because this used to be our go-to coffee place for coffee & matcha.
We will not be back & we no longer recommend this place if you want good consistent matcha…
They have the most authentic-tasting ube drinks. I've been trying ube-based/mixed coffee/beverages in Mtl but Kuya is the only to actually nail the real Filipino Ube! Kudos. Will come back for more. I ordered the Iced ube latte.
Great breakfast sandwich, delicious drinks! Almond croissant was insane
I bought a drink (see photo) SOOOO GOOOD.
I bought one of their chicken sandwiches Tuscino I think its called. Also really really good. I bought one of their sponge cakes. All three cost around 23$ so its alittle costly, but really good. Definitely recommend!
Quiet relaxing area, drinks were superb, breakfast sandwich was top tier (loved the coleslaw on top).
Fantastic in French & English.
Everything about this cafe was truly disappointing. We went in & the barista took so long to take our order because she was talking with her friends & ignoring the fact thag there was a line up of customers that were waiting for her to take our orders & plus instead of finishing up the drink that she made she was taking a picture of it & took her time instead of just serving it. Plus, the drink was really bad, first sip of ube matcha just tasted like a watered down milk & I couldn't even taste the matcha nor the ube.
We visited after seeing a TikTok that called this the spot. We stopped in after exploring Quebec City, as we decided to make a brief stopover in Montreal before heading back to Toronto.
We were genuinely impressed with both the quality of the drinks & the food. The menu was in French, so the staff kindly took the time to explain everything to us, which we really appreciated.
I also heard that the owner is a car enthusiast, though I didn't get a chance to ask-he may have been busy or not on site at the time. After checking their Instagram, it was great to see that they host car meets, & I even recognized a few cars from ImportFest in Toronto.
The experience was so good that we ended up ordering extra to take home for the week. The smash burgers were absolutely on point.
We love this cafe, really good coffee, breakfast sandwiches & great & friendly service :). Also good cold drinks (ube syrup, matcha etc). They often have specials (kamayan, wraps, burgers etc) & partner with locals (pop up yoga event, pastry features, floristry etc) so would recommend following them on IG!
the hojicha drink + ube syrup was phenomenal, so unique !! & prices are very reasonable
