The matcha & cappuccino had a decent taste, however the artwork wasn't very appealing. In addition, I had ordered a hamburger with chicken.The rest of the sandwich was great, despite the mushy bottom of the hamburger.View more

I've come here two times in a row this week & have enjoyed Cafe Kuya. It's a hidden gem with a good community of local business in the plaza. I have eaten their chicken sandwich & their lechon sandwich. Both were great, but the lechon sandwich was definitely my favorite. I also had their matcha late & regular latte, which were great. The place is a nice cozy environment with some StarWars memorabilia. The staff are friendly & hard working. Cafe Kuya brings some Filipino style to their menu & shares their culture with the community. I am looking forward to coming back to visit again!View more

The fried chicken sandwich (we got the current special-mango habanero) is awesome, but dare I say the seasoned fries are even better?! The staff are SO sweet & welcoming too. My absolute favourite cafe. This place is a community gem of the south shore & feels like the embodiment of a warm hug. The space is airy & cozy with lots of natural light & high ceilings: a perfect place to sit down & work or have a good coffee date. But what really sets this cafe apart is how incredible everyone who works here is. The staff are so thoughtful & kind. They always check in with their customers to see how they are & always go above & beyond.
The drinks & food here are equally delicious (try their ube syrup in a latte & breakfast sandwich if you want to get a taste of their specialties). They have a great assortment of Philippino inspired sandwiches, pies, & baked goods.
Additionally, they are always innovating & working with the local community bringing in pop ups & different Philippino foods to try, supporting other local businesses & uplifting others (keep an eye on their IG for pop ups & other community events).

Great coffee shop that's charming on the inside. Tired the breakfast sandwich & it was very good. Though I got it to go, it still took about 20 minutes to make. Ube latte was interesting & tasty. I would go back & try their other drinks.View more

Very cute café with delicious lattes, a succulent breakfast sandwich & yummy pastries. Only downside is that is soooo cold & the chairs are uncomfortable if you're sitting to work for a few hours.View more

Fantastic coffee shop. If you like great coffee, you'll love it. Their espresso is definitely the best I've had from any coffee place in the south shore. The ambiance is great. Welcoming & bright, though quirky & clearly decorated by a Star Wars nerd. Service is top tier. The cashier was helpful & welcoming, & the barista brings your food to your table. About the food. Gaddam. Walks the line between standard caffé choices & "exotic" perfectly. Try their longaniza sandwich if you have the chance. All that being said, service takes the time it takes. It's slow, so don't come here for your daily cup of coffee on your way to work.View more

The chicken tocino sandwich was so good that I'm still thinking about it a day later. I wish you would make it a permanent item on your menu, because we live pretty far & I'm scared I'll never get to have it again! I heard much of their sandwich lechon until I tried it. 10$ for a skinny sandwich with 3 little "french fries" slices of roasted pork with some sauce topped with choucroute. & what's up with the bread filled with air? I finished my sandwich in 5 cheap bites. I was very disappointed. Even a banh mi next door is more honest deal to customer$. I went buy myself a good one since it felt like I didn't ate. Update: I came here on Monday morning, not too busy & ordered a cappuccino with oat milk, a filter coffee with almond milk & a breakfast sandwich. It took 18 minutes for the breakfast sandwich because I heard the cook say "well I only got this now". My filter coffee was cold & my cappuccino had regular milk. I cant 5 star this place anymore.View more

Came here for the fried chicken after having it on our list for a long time, but unfortunately they only sell it on Fridays & Saturdays! They had other interesting options so we opted for their smash burgers & a special chicken sandwich & WOWWWWW! Best burger I've had in a such a long time, did not want it to finish. The chicken sandwich was so delicious & full of flavour, my toddler devoured it! Honestly would come here every week if I lived close by. Will definitely be visiting again!
